    The impression people gave when describing Quintero and Cifuentes made me think Cifuentes isn't a destroyer, while Quintero is. We have skilled midfielders- plenty of them. I suppose this guy's face looks intimidating enough.:84:

    Exactly what i think as well. I watched 2/3 games of Ecuador in the Under 20 world cup. Quintero was definitely the destroyer type and quickly passed the ball to Cifuentes to drive with it. Cifuentes was the more technical of the two but Quintero was a beast.

    Probably not though, chances of a 20 year old from Ecuador going straight into Spanish football would be slim. Could end up never getting a game and worsening his chances of a work permit.

    Would probably be sent to a team like us or another small League where he can play and look good and then they can try and say he is a special talent or whatever.

    Girona were relegated last season so I'm sure he would look good in the 2nd tier of Spanish football. I don't want a loan deal, we have money to sign players so no excuses why we shouldn't be in for him on a permanent, still doubt there is any truth in this but he would be tremendous here I think

    I agree that we should be looking to sign rather than loan but it’s foolish to reject outright any loan bids. If there’s a bit of class that we can bring in and do a job then I’m ok with it. As for this lad, never seen him play but everyone seems to think he’s a player so not against a loan

    If we can then we should, but if there’s the lure of Man City wages, and he is keen on eventually plying his trade there, then is getting him on loan for 12-18 months if he improves us, isn’t the worst. Obviously I want us to buy rather then loan but all comes down to the quality of player involved

    Aye and naw, I get your point but I view it different, if us and man city are both in for him n he chooses city over us then * him. If he chooses them over us which will probably happen due to wages, it just shows he is only interested in money and at 20 years old chasing the coin, * um. Come here and win a few trophies before you get your big move
