Different manager, different priorities. We spent £7m on Julien. I suspect that’ll be our biggest outlay

It’s a shame how far the board have lowered expectations that some people are impressed with a few signings.

The fee is a big one for Julien admittedly but they’ve been sitting on money and not investing it for too long.

We’ve saved £100k+ a week on wages recently with many of our top earners tipped to leave in the coming weeks.

The fact we don’t have a first team right back is a * embarrassment, we’ve needed one for well over two years, and we rapidly need a combative midfielder and at least one more centre half. A keeper wouldn’t go a miss either.

In the grand scheme of things, this summer's window will probably be not that much better than last summer's window.

    Easily.

    Goalkeeper (Gordon ageing/substandard)
    Right-back (no first-choice right-back)
    Right-back (Ralston substandard)
    Centre-half (Šimunović injury-prone; Hendry useless)
Box-to-box midfielder (Armstrong missed; Ntcham out)
Holding midfielder (Brown winding down career)
Attacking midfielder (Rogić misses most games)
Left winger (Sinclair out of form; soon out of contract)
Striker (question marks over Griffiths' health and Bayo)

A big point that is overlooked is our keeper. As a big club, we should always look to have a quality keeper. And although Bain has done a job for us, he isnt the level we need. Keepers can decide games and i think we should have invested in this position by now.

I really think we still need a keeper, a right back, a quality midfielder to replace Ntcham, a left mid, another striker and perhaps even a 10 who will give us more than the injury prone Rogic.

Baffling how low some of our fans expectations are. If we lose Tierney, and by all accounts we have, and we don’t pull the finger and spend some serious money on a right back and at least 2 more quality additions , we ain’t getting 9 in a row. There, I said it.

It Tierney goes we need another lb on top of everything else ,* watching Hayes playing out of position for another year in fact * watching anybody playing out of position Lennon talking about bitton having a big season is alarming

Without acting like a prima donna, if we haven't signed a first choice right before the champions league play off it will have been complete and utter failure by the board.

This should have been done last summer, let alone last January, let alone at the start of this summer and we're still waiting! Going into four rounds of qualifying with a 6'6 CB at right back is mental.

I'm delighted we have what should be a great centre back pairing in Julien and Ajer - but instead we have Ajer playing at RB!

I'm less fussed at the moment with the GK, Brown, AttMid situation. We have players there atm for qualifiers. Right Back is the issue and has been for 18 months. Board has failed to plan, and therefore planned to fail.

This window started so promising. Starting to worry if further additions are conditional on the sale of players. The money is there go build a team for the 10.

Your not allowed to have opinions or say anything bad about the board in her because they have just spent £7m on a player. Have said it for years the reason the board under perform is because they spend a chunck of money in one position and “the snowflake fans” who think no one else can have opinions reply to comments saying “we have just spent 10 mil on a striker” we have just spent 7mil on a cb” truth is the board has * over the fans for years and use * excuses that surprisingly works on a lot of Celtic fans the latest being clubs sent back from pre season. * that it’s probably the best time to get players in. The fact we KNEW we didn’t have any RB (apart from ralston) at the club while losing first and second choice is embarrassing enough but going into the champions league qualifiers is unforgivable. I’m going to state this now we won’t get anywhere near the group stages this year and the board will hit outbwith another * excuse about money and how tough it is to compete and our fans will just accept and have the same conversations next window and the window after that.
