Few of their fans saying he's good going forward but suspect defensively/positionally. Not really what I like to hear but hopefully Lennon knows what he's doing.

We should ideally have two first-team-quality players in each position.

If he is a first-team-quality right-back, £4m would be a prudent investment. He could end his career here, whereas an up-and-coming player would likely move on within a few seasons at most. I think that Lustig's experience will be a big miss this season, and we needed to strengthen that position when he was here.

(I have no idea whether he is good enough or not though.)

That says it all really, they are happy to sell their captain so easily and at 4 million that are over the moon with that.

Really concerned about that, if he was that good and a main stay they would be unhappy.

I think we are overpaying for someone who is not worth 4 million.

Edit - Again Lennon must see something in him and I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, but I feel this is a risk.

Dont think its as simple as they are so happy to sell him. I went on their fan forum to see what they were saying about him and they didnt want him to leave. Was more that he had gave his all for the club over the years and now that they are relegated him moving on to something new like european football was fair.

I went on the main forum, most where happy to get 3 million, it’s was around 50/50 that he done well for them and other saying he’s only had one good season in the EFL.

A good few saying he was the weak link last season and caused a good few goals.

The ones who said he done well said he was a good servant, tried his best ext, not that he was fantastic and are happy to take 3 million for him.

For me if he is their captain you would think they would be a bit more bothered than that.

I do have my reservations about this one but like I’ve said I trust Lennon and we will have to wait and see with this guy but 4 million I thought we would have got someone else in, I hope we still do.

After 2 seasons of being pumped up and down the EPL though as probably the worst team they likely won't be too excited about any of their players.

The last season he played in the Championship he got 4 goals and 10 assists in 42 games and was made captain after that season.

That was his one good season, he made the EFL team of the year.

I don’t why I’ve got a bad feeling about this deal, he may turn out a good signing but something in my gut is saying it’s not a good deal.

Will have to wait and see if we do sign him, fingers crossed he turns out good.

Aye, we need a wee bit of height about the team.

Was also only the 4th season of his career though, going into that season he'd only played like 110 games. Then since then he's only played in defence for what are probably the worst team in EPL history.

First season they finished 6 points off bottom of the League and had the 2nd worst goal difference, last season they finished rock bottom 10 points behind 2nd bottom with the worst goal difference. Don't think too much can be read into how guys especially defenders played for a team who were just pinned in and getting set about week after week.

Will just have to wait and see if we do sign him and see how it pans out.

Huddersfield fans think they’re robbing us if we give £4m for him, not too promising.

Being linked to a good few captains.

Seems Lenny wants to fill us with leaders.

    Preparing for Broony retiring probably.
