    It only works like that if you are from 20 years ago. Players have all the power now.

    Even if it did still work like that (it doesn't), stupidity is not one of Lawwell's flaws. He knows the reaction if he even tried that (he would fail BTW, see above) and Tierney mentioned it in public. If there's one player he knows he can't touch, it's KT.

    We joke a lot about Lawwell needing his balls booted at times; but I reckon it would probably really happen if Lawwell tried to do that to KT. Reckon he's well aware of that too.

    Guarantee you this decision will not be made by Celtic or Arsenal; it'll be made by KT.

    While we're on the topic, £25 million is not crazy money for a player like KT in today's market. Far from it.

    If Tierney does stay, is it possible this guy plays left wing. Not sure if Shved was that guy but in the friendlies so far he's been more central then out on the wing.

    Crazy money is what Man U have just spent on a guy who has played one season in top league for a perennial mid table “meh” club.

    Tierney, despite a season finished by injury, not the best of form and being played when clearly unfit, is light years more experienced that that chap Man U signed.

    Had a quick scan of Rapid fans forum, and the general gist is He's a guy who really fights for the jersey. Defensively not the greatest and looked best in a 3-5-2. His attacking qualities should shine through even more with us. He's very well thought of and they're sad to see him go.
