Joe ledley was always going to be here for the 10.

Only the most closed minded never seen this coming.

Super Joe home to prolong Steven Davis career by tucking him in his pocket for a few months.

Loved him when he was here but sadly not good enough for us atm, we got enough experience around our midfielders with Broony, Calmac, Sincy and Forrest and plenty of youth breaking through....just doesn't make sense for us to sign him imo.

Who filled a gap in the squad for relatively low money and helped us on the way to a Treble Treble with KT missing a load of the season?

He filled a gap for sure but it tarnished his reputation.
Last season it was not the Izzy that we all loved and just showed it was a mistake to come back .

How so? Stepped in at an important part of the season and many people will agree that he was part of probably our best form of the season.

He still helped us towards a Treble Treble. I’m not a fan of stop gaps but when it’s all said and done Izzy will be remembered as part of that team.

I doubt he’d be coming here to “have a look”.

Anybody know how capable he is now, or are we going with a purely sentimental rationale.

4 appearances last season for Derby, he's not played a lot of football. He does have leadership qualities, but we shouldn't be bringing in squad fillers we have enough of them already.

Please no he played 4 games last year and under 50 games in last 3 seasons ffs, we have Kouassi, Henderson, Bitton already mulling about in that area whats point of keeping Kouassi every year not loaning him out only to sign people like Ledley & Mulumbu ect? Good player in his day but your day has gone Joe im afraid we do not need squad fillers we have plenty of experience in the squad already, lets go out and get a couple of genuine quality midfielders eh?

I was kidding mate, your points were valid but some don’t appreciate what he gave us when he returned because he was an “easy returning player signing”.

Especially not in midfield. Wouldn’t mind an experienced leader who can drop in and out at the back and up top but midfield we have Broony, Calmac, Jamesy, Rogic who have been there and done everything for us.
