I don’t think it’s as easy as saying Turnbull guarantees goals to be honest. When you look at some of his goals you’re wondering how the * they ended up in the net :giggle1:

Deflections, goalkeeping howlers, a couple that look completely mishit and just getting over the line. Obviously he scored a couple a absolute screamers as well.

Probably got caught up in a war of words between his agent, Motherwell and PL. I don't think PL would have like the aggressiveness surrounding our bid etc

I was against the transfer, I called him traitor, motherwell diddy, boyata among other horrible things, but I am really sorry for him. The guy went from heaven to * in a matter of days. "out for an extended period" is usually something very serious

Aye i don't mind those goals though. Hit and hopes. Taps in and scuffs in the box..

If you see us last year, we were so predictable. Didn't shoot enough and tried to walk it in. Or we'd cross in to the box and literally Edouard would be the only one in there pulling away from the six yard box..

We need another player to go beyond like Christie and Armstrong before that..

Tough luck for the kid, he'll come back.
If issues came up in the medical and needs an operation then at least the kid found out before it potentially got any worse.

This mite be a blessing and Henderson gets more game time. I really think he will come on leaps and bounds if he gets more first team football not signing Turnbull my lead to that.

I'm not bothered at all about this. We can do far better with the money available. He would have scored goals against the domestic dross but I doubt he would've helped bridge the gap between ourselves and our European betters. More annoyed that we've wasted so much time and seemingly let Harper slip through our fingers.

We do need an attacking midfielder but there's better value for money out there imo. Bring Michel Vlap home.

A know it’s tongue n cheek on ol PL, getting it again but could you imagine come February next year and Turnbull seen less minutes in appearances than boerrigter and Marvin and word gets oot that we knew he was totally crocked before we signed him people would be going aff their heads

There's been a few bizarre transfer dramas in our recent history but this one is probably the most bizarre one since Judas...we even had the spectacle of him sitting there in the new Yeovil style home jersey...how the * did that happen before all the small print was read and signed off.

I don't consider this a massive blow player wise and I'm sure that money can be put to better use... particularly in defence

I don't mind this. He massively overperformed last season and is due a big regression in goals scored. I think taking away his penalties his overall stats has him at an expected 4 goals a season. Although it would have been worth getting him in a cut price deal and seeing if he could replicate it in a better side with much more of the ball.

Biggest problem that will come of us this is the targets we've missed out on in the time of this saga. Aribo and likely Harper. Its a * situation where we've really done nothing wrong with Turnbull but the time its taken has seen us miss out on on better deals for similar players.

Nothing gained and nothing lost. Cue all the media tosspots and sensationalists trying to angle criticism in the direction of Celtic and McManus will be typing away blaming Lawell for ruining Turnbulls career. The boy David was not to be and we have set ourselves up for a laugh by parading him too soon. If Cesar had still been here he would have reminded them how being premature doesn't work. We need to get our finger out in the transfer market and look to talent that are still within reality prices. We need players who have been performing for 2/3 seasons. Another Virgil or big Vic and they are definitely out there. Our own youth are showing promise and we need to nurture them. We don't need to snoop around other teams for future potential. I'm happy for us to swiftly move on and stop * about. Show some competency.

Probably not the last of the saga, if we were still willing to take him then we'll most likely go back and get him in January once he's fit again.
