Aye you see the price just over £1m but once he plays 350 games for Liverpool his old team are due £3m didn’t realise we loaned Lawwell to Liverpool for negotiations!

So you're saying the club deliberately shot itself in the foot, just to spite the manager?

A mix of him already working his ticket away so go * yourself, and really not trusting him to spend money after bringing in compper, hendry, gamboa and if he had his way a stupid amount of money on mckenna.

We need to make sure for the coming years we have a scouting system in place all over Europe like we did when Lennon was first at the club.

They definitely stashed away the piggy bank last summer, whether that was warranted or unwarranted because of the rat making moves to get away and his awful record in the transfer market is immaterial, it definitely happened. It's the same pattern that's happened since MoN, managers are backed well(ish) in the first 2 seasons then our spending tends to drop.

Lennon is on record stating the Celtic manager's job has a shelf-life of 4 seasons, so perhaps it's done so as not to lumber the next incoming manager with players that don't fit into their plans and are a drain on our resources.

It's exactly why we need to go down the DoF route with some succession planning and continuity. The constant cycle of big rebuilds every 3 or 4 years stunts our development.

I remember those names being mentioned, but I don't ever recall there being an implication from McGowan that the club refused to sanction those deals to spite Rodgers. And if that were true, then it's worse than incompetence, it's deliberate self-sabotage.

While I detest Lawwell, I'm not sure if he would go so low as to deliberately jeopardize the team's well-being, particularly as they're trying to negotiate a place in the CL, which of course, is so important to us financially.

It doesn't really add up either. Why sanction the Eduoard deal at all, when it represented the biggest outlay, while refusing to sanction a low-risk deal for John McGinn?

What is a fact, is that we had a terrible summer window last season. I don't believe your suggestion that this is essentially Rodgers' fault and that the board were right to deplete the squad to spite him. More likely, Rodgers has since become a convenient scapegoat, to distract from those who have presided over several windows - many more than Rodgers - that have left us weaker as a result, despite telling us we'd always be stronger.

Rodgers is the one who blocked the Boyata transfer.

The board should’ve told him to * off and sold Boyata. Especially after the whole refusing to play.

Maybe we wouldn’t be chasing basically a full back 4 if we had a * with any sort of plan at the club.

Then why did we submit a late bid, in excess of what would have secured McGinn, for Scott McKenna?

Looks like he's on his way to London.

He posted a photo of his boarding pass on Instagram and it has leaving Toulouse at 11:15am on it.

Checked the board and that flight is going to Heathrow. (Yes I know I'm sad!) haha
