100% guaranteed you'll be the one on camera cheering away going mental for a good 5 minutes while your boss is watching :56:

Just tell them you hurt your wrist.
That way when you go to match, they cant say anything as you can still go to match but are unable to work.
Just watch they dont see you drinking with that hand.

Just do it who gives a *. Too many people panic and fret about it. They would * you over in an instant if they had to. Loyalty in the job market in this day and age is non existent especially if you work for a national, different if they are a wee private firm, granted. If they're not then play the system as well and take a period of absence while ur at it. No dramas thats why employment law exists. Just don't be on social media living it up or ur *. It's work to live, not live to work.

Don't tell them you're sick, tell them you have a family emergency...that way you can insist that you wish you come into work but unfortunately due to the "family emergency" you can't and have to watch the weans whilst you're Mrs is up th hospital or something.

Jus tell them you’ve got an appointment at the clap clinic, for say 11ish (if you work 9-5) so no point going in before then remember to message boss again at say 3ish to say now leaving hospital.

If it's very important to you and part of your life, * work and lift the phone and take time off either using up holidays or pull a Sicky. You only live once!

Companies that make you call in every day of your illness at 8am are complete *. It's stressful enough calling in once but the stress of getting up early every morning and having to call in again totally messes up your convalescence.

Should be one call with an approximation of when you'll return. Some places do waive the every day call if you've bothered your doctor for a sick line.
