It's not often a comment on here makes me feel genuinely angry, but that did. He's a Celtic fan; but he's also still just a boy, constantly bombarded by images from one of the biggest marketing machines in world sport and is just after watching an ex-teammate (Virgil) and a fellow former academy member (Robertson) lift the European Cup with Liverpool.

I hope he stays, but if he does go, I hope he shoves said megaphone up yours instead.

We could always offer him a massive wage to stay.

Surprised nobody mentioned this yet. He is not on big wages now, but that can be upped.

A lot of people buying into KT is a fan of the club and wont leave,he,s a young lad with ambitions like any professional footballer his age.
Truth is he has more chance of playing in a CL final with another team rather than with us.

Im sure he,d rather achieve his ambitions with us but knows thats very unlikely so he,s bound to consider other options and in time move on to another club.

Firstly, he is a fan, there is no 'buying into' that, it's a fact.

Secondly, how do you know his ambitions are to win a champions league? Of course every footballer wants to, but the majority don't get close to it, like Arsenal haven't. Takes a lot to walk away from your childhood dream of playing for YOUR team, week in week out, to chase a potential trophy win with some other team who pays better.

Maybe he idolises the likes of Broony, Cesar, McStay, guys who are written into the history books of Celtic and will be remembered for generations. Just because we won't win the Champions League any time soon, doesn't mean the lad wants to just chuck his dream...

Literally never heard of a footballer who doesn’t want to the Champions League.

If he goes, and it is still just if, then he'll always be welcomed back to CP for me. Regardless of what he's said in the past. Any human being would be seriously tempted by the cash that would be on offer to go down there. I've fell in to the trap by believing some of the horseshit being bandied about by the rags, but at the end of the day I don't think there has been one direct quote from anyone at the club.
We seem to forget what we are on the verge of, and the lenghts the huns within and outwith our game will stoop to to throw us off course.

I wouldn't be fussed about leaving Celtic for Arsenal if I were Tierney. I'm sure Celtic could offer him enough money to be set for life anyway, and he'd be playing for the club he loves. That'd be enough for me.

Try reading the post before trying to poke holes in it.

    “But many, many don’t”

Who are these many, many who don’t want to win the Champions League then :giggle1:?

Okay I see why you're confused. Every player wants to win it, but most don't actually win it.

Leaving Celtic to join arsenal (a team who's never won it) doesn't guarantee you a champions league winners medal...
