West Brom "savage" Lenny over Burke

He's got a touch like a baby elephant and couldn't finish his dinner. Lennon won the 2 remaining trophies by using him sparingly. I'll be expecting him West Brom team every week this season considering how highly they rate him... I doubt it though.

If their chairman is going to come out with such headlines he needs to add some substance to what the actual complaint is.

The complaints about this loan and Weah getting chopped early will add fuel to the fire.

 

It does put us in a bad light for future loans deals, Timo leaving early mainly due to u20 world cup but still told to leave and this. Although none of us care as Burke was dogshit but it will maybe make other players clubs wary to deal with us maybe.
Not good press on top of the shitshow of a transfer window so far.

 

I don’t think the days of shouting at players are quite as finished as you say. I remember watching that Man City documentary about Pep, a line he used goes something like ‘I’m not here to be your best friends, I’m here to get the best out of you. For some of you - that means saying things to you that means saying things to you that you might not like hearing’.

Paraphrasing, but that was the jist of it. For me, it seems a bit ridiculous for West Brom to criticise us for not playing him. He wasn’t immediately discarded when Lennon arrived, but his form quickly nosedived. Wether that was die to lennon or not is a matter of opinion, but we’re under no obligation to play underperforming West Brom players at a crucial stage of the season.

 

Timo forced Lennon's hand with his decision to go play for the USA. Why have a guy here whos heart isn't in it 100%?

Benko was coming back from injury when Jozo started to hit a bit of form. Would you rather build on his confidence, or dent it even more to play a loanee ahead of him? Especially when we had no chance of keeping him going forward.

Burke was, is and always will be a guy who tried hard. But, had no real technical ability. His natural position of RW was already taken by Jamesy. Or are would we really have swapped them?

Him up front or Eddie or a fit Griff?

No thanks WBA can keep him. I look forward to him ripping it up next season..

But if I'm allowed to over think the situation I wonder if all this will make it harder for Lennon to sign players if he's rep is constantly being 'savaged' by other clubs in the media.

 

If we are actually trying to get Rakeem Harper this situation is not gonna help. Maybe that's why WBA have gone public.

I don’t why people are now saying about the other loan players, we had no option to buy, Lennon has came out in the past and said I don’t want to Develop other teams players with a loan, Foster had an option to buy that’s why he took him.

I remember saying at the time I would rather he starts our own players to see what he is working with than using loan players who are leaving at the end of the season and won’t be back anyway.
