    Look at Luke Shaw years ago. Look at that crystal palace guy just now. Look at Andy Robertson. Look at what VVD, Wanyama and Forster did when they went down initially.

    Now I know what Hibs felt like last summer when we low-balled on Mcginn. They're just * trying it on with insulting offers. I took a dip into what they were saying last night and half of them were laughing they'd be getting a steal at 25m. They're tight anyway and have no CL money...good!! It would take nearly all their budget for me.

    We don't want an unhappy player that's done so much for us if his head's been turned. I'm not blaming him. I'm not blaming lawwell either. However I'd be looking at circa 40m.
    Guys on here talking about 25m on here are the fantasists. It's almost as if we're conditioned now to accept pennies for our top stars.

    Maybe he isn't for sale, maybe arsenal haven't even offered and this is an attempt by the papers to unsettle Celtic just like last year for the * of another club.

    What I heard - and I admit it's all rumour - is that there's a buyout in his contract. It's supposed to be 25m. What arsenal may be doing is testing the waters to see if they trigger it. If it is true that the clause is there it would explain why our answer wasn't 'not for sale', but instead 'it'd take an offer like...' if we'd done otherwise his agent would've Intervened...
