It's this * board lads!!! I get that every player has his price but it's almost as if they're teasing the * to bid!! And the cherry on top is we know that they'll very likely be no '' real quality'' in to replace these guys!!! * me, they're pushing the limits of even level headed fans here!!!

So are we pretty much talking about Scottish folk now mate ? With an even playing field; again I don't see many Northern Europeans choosing England ahead of Germany or Italy etc ( especially in the current political climate.)

If you look before Sky how many Northern European footballers (from outside the UK) played in The First Division ?

I find this yet another depressing chapter in an already depressingly frustrating start to the transfer window..

I know that sometimes the best business is keeping the players you have ... this would be (for the fans and team also) a perfect example...

Discussing the amount of a transfer fee seems like a pointless debate to me.

    Doesn’t matter if it’s 15 million or 75 million ...

We will see the square root of FarkAll reinvested in the squad.

Sounds mental but i won't be suprised if Cal Mac wants to leave. He would be a star in that Leicester midfield with Ndidi and maddison. If they keep Tielemans even more so.
We love him and he has an affinity with us but its not a KT level relationship.

But mainly I wouldn't be suprised if he left because honestly Lennon hasnt utilised him like BR did. He's been marginalised to an extent under Lennon so far. He's coming into his prime years and I would understand him wanting to spend them developing further with the manager that made him into the player he is. Hes our most intelligent footballer so I wont be suprised if his head rules his heart this Summer.

They're 2 of our 3 best players but we're dealing with very different circumstances around their possible transfers.

Medical are so rigorous these days that they’d pick up anything chronic fairly fast.

He hasn't been any more marginalised than playing left-back at Ibrox by the rat.

Medicals are getting really good these days, but they still aren't perfect. We didn't pick up on Derk's problem, Jozo's glass legs or whatever the * it is that's wrong with Compper.

If we’re serious about this model then we don’t hire incompetent people to head our recruitment in the first place, we pay the going rate for someone who has had success recruiting elsewhere.

Not someone who has just completely ruined Hamburg (hehe) and Sunderland.

He's a good player. Disciplined defender for a full back. Great in the air. Great pace. Powerful and his attacking improved as the season went on. Came through their academy.
    City were looking at him.
I think if he was to move. KT is definitely one of the most like for like replacements they could try and get.
I don't know if he's as good or better than KT but no chance either club would swap them.

I'm not entirely convinced there was anything physically wrong with Derk or Compper.

Forty million English pounds and an actual cannon - and make more preposterous demands until they * off - I'd even encourage KT to call them and say it himself. No chance we should even consider selling him at this point.

Fair point, mate. I don't know the statistics. It does seem to me that footballers find it an attractive league to play in; but maybe the EPL marketing machine means I only hear players say things that make the EPL look good. It's possible.

At any rate, Arsenal are a genuine draw, as are Napoli. I don't really care if he chooses Italy or England; I just want him to stay for the 10 (and also not leave right now when our recruitment is a shambles, because we're still recovering from 2 and a half years of Congerton).

Selling Tierney for £25m and replacing him with Greg Taylor would be the most Celtic thing ever.

Please, no one disabuse me of the notion that the Arsenal manager's name is Darren. I'm sure it probably isn't, but I'm trying to convince myself. :giggle1:

I don't think £40 million is preposterous at all for that league. Not at all.
If we have to have preposterous demands, how about £100 million, a cannon 4 cannons shoved so far up Lee Congerton's rear that he never, ever works in football again and swap Peter * Lawwell's heated garage and driveway out for a permanent, immovable walk in (drive in) freezer running at minus * 30 and dye his * dog green?

Feel really angry that we quoted them a price. Genuinely.
