Give the lad a break man. It's the weekend and hes about to sign a contract that will limit him to about half a week off a year for the next 4 :56:

Had Motherwell not tweeted a fee had been agreed, we wouldn't have known any of this till he was basically signed and done. We would have been surprised. I blame Motherwell for doing all this crap to the Transfer. These things can drag on, players can say yes, no, wait, talk to other clubs, it's more common than people maybe realize.
Motherwell should be ashamed of themselves. Celtic did the right things here. #HH
    IMO

Probably, will the SFA even be open at a weekend during the summer to register him?

I would assume that once he puts pen to paper that's when he starts to get paid.
Can see PL leaving it to the end of the month:67:

DAVID TURNBULL took advice from Andy Robertson and James McFadden before committing his future to Celtic.

The Motherwell midfielder chose the Hoops as his next destination on Thursday evening.

He had looked destined for a switch to Norwich after Celts insisted they wouldn’t be held to ransom over wage demands.

Now SunSport can reveal the lengths Turnbull, 19, went to in deciding his future.

He shares the same agent as Liverpool’s Champions League winner Robbo and sought out the Scotland skipper for guidance.

It’s understood he also spoke to Faddy, who he knew after the ex-Tartan Army favourite spent time back at Fir Park

Turnbull was offered higher wages to move to the Canaries.

But the SFWA Young Player of the Year has always seen regular football as vital.

Talks with Robertson and McFadden reinforced that belief and saw him reignite the Hoops move.
