Well maybe not to you, but I think its ridiculous that people would laugh. It's either becausethey think:

Arsenal aren't good enough - Let's get real, our other top players went to lesser clubs and KT isn't the finished product

Or, They think the bid is shockingly low - which I agree with but ultimately the club likely have a different valuation to us and the joke could well be on us.

I'm genuinely worried that he'll leave, and for less money than we supporters want

Would be absolutely scunnered if KT left this window. We have an absolutely massive rebuilding job to do as is.

There is no reason good enough to let Tierney go.

I don’t want to see KT go at all.

But as sad as I’d be to see him go, I think I’d be more disgusted if the fee is anything in the region of 25m.

In fact, if that’s what’s considered good value, then, as ITLC has said, we may as well liquidate and start over in the third division. Would be absolute * tinpot to even entertain a bid in that region – let alone present it as our acceptable bottom line.

If a bidding war ensues between a few clubs, we could be looking at 25-30 mil.

The big worry is the reinvestment back into the team.

Partly. I think they may have seen that we were gonna be getting rid of key player's and being even weaker next season..

Both should definitely have gone. No question..

Obviously. I'm no so sure either nevermind both would've wanted away if the snake was still here even..

The only reasons for selling him that I can think of are 1) he's desperate to get out (at the business end of 10INAR, sickening to think about) or 2) Celtic reckon he's crocked and want to cash out before his career is over.

I think that's the key point, unfortunately. I actually agree with St Pauli about the lack of attractiveness of the EPL: I stopped watching it many years ago. However, there's no denying that most players seem to find it a very attractive league to play in for some reason, quite apart from the money.

If this goes through, it will be sickening.

We'd have no first team defence bar a converted midfielder..

Quoting a price that low is tantamount to trying to push him out IMO.

The reinvestment wouldn’t happen. Main reason why he can’t leave. We haven’t prepared properly for brining in a RB and CB which have been problem positions for couple seasons now, I have zero confidence in us being able to replace Tierney so quickly.

It's possible we may be cashing in on our two star assets to finance a rebuild. We are very short at the back and Pl might be banking on Lenny pulling a few gems out of the hat like he did previously and believe with KT money he can rebuild the entire back line and keep a hold of the Dembelle for sundry expenses(disco lights, heated driveways etc.) If this the case then we are in the *.

Lets wait and see and hope for the best

Heard (Dont shoot the messenger) that we've quoted 40m. Sounds too good to be true but would love it, since I dont think Arsenal would pay that much.

If Tierney turns round and says to PL, “ I want to stay for 10 in a row “, no matter how much Lawell wants cash, you can’t force your star player out of a team if he doesn’t want to leave, by the time we hopefully get 10, he would just be turned 24 and would probably be right time for him to leave if he wanted to try his luck in the premiership

We wont reinvest, we cannot sell him. We already need about 5 defenders as it is.

It had to be a mammoth bid. Fullbacks are few and far between when it comes to top quality.

Ferland Mendy is 2 years older than KT and just went for £47 million. Absolutely no reason why KT shouldn’t be bringing in something near that. You can talk about the league he’s in, but he performs the same way in Europe.

Pay up or leave the boy alone.
