Och it's been awhile, but yeah I'm pretty sure there is 2 types you need to 'pass' to prove you are able to drive and equally won't be a * and just ram folk.

I went online a few times, mostly folk played fair, but I was clearly fresh to the game and found myself being too polite and cautious. Pro's in your lobby and you've no chance - same with other games like Project Cars2 for me.

Stick to my offline and the odd friendly online race

I play quite a lot of GT Sport still. Online mode is ok once you get your sportsmanship rating up to A or S and you stop getting lumped in races with the idiots that ram you constantly but the trade off with that is the players will be considerably better. Personally I don't play online that much as there's only 3 races that change every week that you can repeat over and over so it gets boring.

Yeah had my first online game last night tried to keep. My racing as clean as possible but was just getting rammed and side swiped etc ended up with daft penalties because of it

Best thing to do is just make sure you have clean races at first, even if you're not competing, that way your SR will shoot right up and you won't be put in races with the C,D and E rated drivers anymore. If you think you're about to be rammed or side swiped just let the * go so you don't get hit with penalties. It doesn't take long to get your SR up to level S as long as you're clean, I've only done 27 races in total in Sport mode and I've been at S rating for a while.
