Second round draw is more than decent

When you see the unseeded teams lurking in round 3 then you think aye it’s going to have to be pure luck to avoid some of the big hitters.

Allowing for all seeded teams getting to playoff round it could be

Astana
Slavia Prague

 

Anyone have any idea the date that we will play in Macedonia if we get through?

 

First thing i thought of mate when i heard Bosnia, Albania and Montenegro mentioned as possibilites. Did Scotland not play a few years ago in that part of the world and it was in the 80's or not far off it!!

 

Think it’s the first leg so it’ll be the 23/24 July

 

Considering tempting fate and booking flights the now.

 

I’d wait till it’s official they might have visa problems as well

I’m hearing it’s been confirmed the first leg is in Sarajevo on the 9th with the return at Celtic Park on the 16th

 

ok...you made me look it up!!.....Macedonia 1 Scotland 0.....3 of the first words i just read on the report were 'baking hot afternoon'. Now ok we will probably be playing at night but it might still be a wee bit on the hot side!!


ps-reason i recall it was they kept banging on about the heat so much....but that's the class act that our governing body is. Away in Macedonia playing in an afternoon with summer weather kicking about. Only them.

 

Pleased we are playing the away leg first, but a bit annoyed as I'm on holiday for the 2nd leg and I was hoping to go to this.

Does anyone know if premier sports will be showing any of the qualifiers yet? They usually have the first few rounds?

Might get it for a month now that they have the Artem Paulie fight too.

 

They have announced anything yet, however I would expect them to have the away legs.

 

CELTIC will play away for the first leg of the UEFA Champions League first qualifying round against FK Sarajevo of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Hoops will travel out for the first leg which is scheduled for Tuesday/Wednesday, July 9/10 while Sarajevo will visit the East End of Glasgow for the return leg a week later on Tuesday/Wednesday, July 16/17.

They * better. Was convinced I cancelled last year and only realised this week I still have it cause the Copa America is on.

 

Bosnia-Herzegovina champion FK Sarajevo should have travelled to a pre season camp today but that was cancelled due to the players refusing going. They haven't received wages in months.
