This has flown right over my head, I don't remember him being mentioned during the season, everyone was kinda in agreement the defence needed sorted and this thread has just went inflationary. It's quite intense too like a lot of folk think he's something special and seem to be mixed views on whether he took a lend of us or was just getting the best deal in an honesty way as possible.

Midfield is not a position we have to worry about too much.

I don't know him or his level but he must be very promising, if he's going to join a non EPL league in England when we're offering him a massive club and huge opportunity for development at many levels, he would be making a big mistake.

Although no way are we paying a youngster £20k if Broony is only on £35k.

I hope we find defenders who cause massive interest like this guy.

It definitely is. When everyone is fully fit it's our strongest area of the park, but Rogic and Christie both missed a huge amount of games last season, Ntcham is most likely away, and brown is 34 soon. Add to the fact the ridiculous amount of games Mcgregor had to play last season because we lacked proper back-ups, we probably need turnbull and another CM in.

Defence will most likely be priority this window, but it's good we're targeting the midfield to get done and dusted quickly.

what age is henderson ?

see for me this kind of buy probably limits the already good talent we have

whose to say if henderson had got the same amount of games as this guy for us or motherwell someone wouldnt be touting him for a 3m and 20k a week

i was really impressed with henderson when he came in last season he showed a real bit of class the way he played, i was kind of hoping he got a good run of games but he pretty much fell out of it after a few games unfairly i reckon aswell

 

Fair point, I did mean that it wasn't as important as defence but as you say if Ntcham is off then we do need to replace him. Aye it would be great to recruit someone potentially replacing Broony, just to even give him rest as he's going to need it.

Personally don't think Callum should be our new DM, he's just too creative for me.

I also think Henderson should be given the chance of regular squad time because it's easier than trying to find a midfielder that promising, normally loaning out at his age is appropriate but I think we can be safe if played in the right games.

Maybe Bayo could become the striker Lenny is after?

True. Turnbull looks like he's got more about him when it comes to scoring but Henderson's ability to pick a pass is excellent, he should be played as a 10 in pre-season imo.

* like this makes me wish that football would go and * itself right into the bin. Honestly, the greatest players to ever wear our teams colours did it for about 4 quid a week. And they didn't have to be asked twice to go and meet the fans at the pub.

Nowadays we're lucky if the players even show up for a Champions League match that they're meant to play in. And every * that comes into the club brags on about how much they love it and how much it means to them, until * Scunthorpe or some * offers them a few grand more.
