    The guys isn’t a child.

He’s 20 years old and about to move for a life-changing sum of money regardless of where he ends up. Nobody that stands to earn 25x their current salary isn’t glued to their phone and available at any time, holiday or not.

Didn't realize that Christie used the same agent. :43: Let's think about the way each of these bhoys has dealt with this agent:

Armstrong: played well for us, held out for a bit, but in the end, succumbed to the agent and the money down south. How much is he playing now? Hope the money makes up for it, but then again, perhaps he knows and intends that law is his next career, not football.

Christie: amidst competition at Celtic, he held out and clearly stood his ground. Inevitably went out on loan and improved his game, then he came back and was patient for his time. Grabbed it with both hands when presented, and because he clearly wanted to be here. Now kicking on, obviously ignoring any nonsense from his agent (who right after his loan period was clearly breathing down his neck, if folks recall).

Turnbull: one excellent (half) season at Motherwell and this kid seems to be listening to anything his agent will tell him. Does he want money? Does he want football? Who knows - can't seem to speak for himself. Couple that with the fact that this agent may have relationships with some of the mediocre teams in the EPL and Championship. Could be a means to fatten the agent's wallet by circumventing Celtic altogether on deals and going straight down south... this definitely seems like a rotten situation.

Honestly, I'm not sure if this is enough enough to say we should blacklist the agent. To me, it's more of who really wants to be here, fight for a place in the team, and recognizes our club's long term potential for greater success. Turnbull isn't Celtic, but if we get him, he may do well... or not. I'm on the annoyed side of ambivalent, meaning, it will take a bit more than usual to win me over if he actually comes to our club.

Who is gonna start 19 year olds on stupid wages unless they are the exception like Mbappe etc. All of a sudden you have 25/26 year olds who have been at the club for a while thinking, hold on to * here. And it goes on. It’s the reason clubs like ours work within a wage cap. Good enough for Tierney, McGregor or Forrest, then should be good enough for a lad who still needs his nose wiped.

That Alan Nixon is the go to guy for the lower leagues down south so I take it the teams interested down south have told the agent to * off.

Nah but until I see it being reported, then it seems that he's still Turnbull's agent.

The point is, there's no way Turnbull wasn't aware of our offer and stood by as his agent rejected it. If that was the case, Turnbull's people would have made it abundantly clear by now. He would have told every publication under the sun "my agent rejected the deal without my knowledge or consent".
