The club should keep the fan's updated more. No when we're in direct discussions with trying to get a player in..

After when it's completely dead and we've moved on, fair enough but no one the same day..

Tweeting about a fantastic offer and blah blah blah. It's petty and small time. The fact we've copied some tinpot outfit like Motherwell makes it even worse. There's definitely * for tat and it's got silly, so we've reacted..

I don't ever want us doing our business like this ever again to be brutally honest..

I'm asking this not intentionally trying to be devil's advocate (or a pain in the *), but...

How would we know about our stance without it being aired in some form?

Is the support patient enough to wait for it be be aired in a way that is more sanitized, or do we (and the media) grown about McGinn 2.0 and throw the board under the bus in the interim?

I have no clue how to address the questions above, because I think we're all operating in hindsight now, but one thing I think we can agree on is that if we had a dedicated team in recruitment right now, it'd be shocking if they hadn't predicated this whole deal under some form of NDA, withholding information until all the details were hashed out. Given the circumstance we're in, this is clearly not happening and is a source of frustration for all.

Motherwell must be raging at his agent, if we're by far the biggest bid on the table that money would be really useful to them.

Can’t stand him either but he does point out would take the fans group 16 year to build up the cash!

By leaking what we want to be leaked to the press....which every other club does..

No by sticking a tweet up about how great a deal it was and take it or leave it like petulant kid's..

Obviously we want our business done early but we'll be patient as long as we get the right player's in this window..

Why did the club not just say the first round of talks failed.. Just seems a bit unprofessional.

Yeah, the rot was setting in. But there wasn't a single game in which we really dominated under NL. We scored 13 goals in 11 games and struggled to do anything offensively. He didn't deserve the job.

Polls on this forum and across social media were consistently at around 70% against the appointment. Doesn't sound like most fans were happy. SOME fans were happy - most weren't. More in relation to our lack of ambition than anything.

Fine, but if he was always going to get the job why make the offer in the showers after the game? Frankly it's ridiculous that nobody else was even considered, but that moment just added to the unprofessionalism of it all.

It's not about the paper. It's the fact that we're supposed to be one of the world's biggest, most 'premier' clubs and we conduct transfer meetings in that manner? Not even proper minutes, players names spelled wrong etc. It was embarrassing, regardless of the paper.

Of course they allowed to happen. They were careless enough to leave confidential information, including information on potential player sales and existing contracts, somewhere where it could be picked up and photographed. That should be either destroyed or stored securely. It wasn't and as a result the club have nobody to blame but themselves.

If Turnbull's agent is asking for too much then fair enough - but deal with it privately like every other club on the planet. Don't publicly announce it on Twitter for the world to read. Another * decision.

I haven't seen what was leaked, just find it strange it's being regarded as normal behaviour as if it happens every season. Obviously cool to say the board is messing about again but this seems more out of the ordinary and being treated like the ordinary.

    We're copying Motherwell now? Catch a * grip :56:

The club took an absolute bollocking from the fans over the mcginn debacle.

Does anyone remeber the banner drom GB after that * show. "Back the manager, or lose him"

The statement is defensive measure against further criticism, which i agree, looks amateurish and foolhardy.

The bottom line is the kids attitude * stinks.

    Bye *.

This is why it should have been kept between the club, agent, and player.

If he signs now after all of this, a lot of the fan base will still think he’s a *.

If we were going to release a statement like that it should have been with our bid being withdrawn.

Motherwell must be well * at Turnbull right now after thinking that a record transfer deal was all but in their bank account. 3m is a lot for a 19 year old player with 1 season in the spfl. But I was ok with it as he does look a good player. But if he is balking at the wages we offered him despite his lack of experience and the fact it would be a massive increase on what he gets now and of course the massive stage that playing for Celtic is then he can go * himself.

It was an amazing bit of business for being fan owned. They could have got excited and jumped at 1.5m but they had patience and held out. Fair play but wee guy is a *.

The modern day footballer, proper * stain of the highest Calibre. If he's carrying on like this at 19 years of age, * knows what he's be like when abit older looking to renew his contract. If that was my son at 19, I'd slap the * head of him and knock some sense into then knock * out of his agent. It's not always about the money. Coming to us, getting a great wage as was offered he should jump at the chance to come to us for the whole experience of playing for us.

IMHO, pull the offer off the table and tell him to GTF!
