Glad to hear my life expectancy has shot up considering I'm unemployed in that respect.

I guess when some one is old and lived their life fully it can be accepted I'm not even thirty yet lost my older brother only 23 I was seventeen and lost my younger brother he was only 23 and I was 25.... My gran died I'm at peace with that but I look at the pictures and can never quite get over it the loss of life talent the things they never got to achieve that I have becoming a dad buying my own home being engaged.. Learned to deal with it but I don't ever think I'll get over the feeling of loss that I have

Personally if I didn't look at
It like that I don't think I'd function and I'm not highly religious the mere thought of never seeing loved ones again severely depresses me so I believe I'll see them again whether that true or not I don't know.

Death doesn't really scare me, but I do feel gutted for those taken before they could fully enjoy their lives. I think about friends lost over the years and what the world is like now compared to the world they lived in. Things are changing rapidly, and it's like my fear-of-missing-out on their behalf.

As for myself, I appreciate and definitely share the perspective shared in this song:

    We're not afraid to die,
    Just the stuff between,
The start and the other side..

It’s not that it scares me so much, been many a time in my life i’ve gone to sleep wishing i’d never wake up, it’s more how i die that scares me, would hate to have a horrible painful death.

I'll try not to wander in here too often, aye fkn * scared. Obviously losing others is the major one, but even the whole death * freaks me out.

When I start thinking about it I start feeling funny and cannae breathe right, lol.

Major thing is the fear of not seeing loved ones, but other thing is what actually happens.

I'm hoping it's a case of outer body, hello there, but you don't know. Is it just blackness, but then again how the fk does that work? No existence I just don't get. How can it just go dark.

I'm praying it's life after death in some way.

Right close this * thread now, starting to get wheezy.

I'm not really afraid of death itself. I reckon it's probably exactly the same as the thousands of years before I was born. I am afraid of knowing I'm going to die though. If I was guaranteed to just go in my sleep one night and not be aware of it at all, I'd be grand I think

As many have wisely said if you have lived a decent life and had a good innings then why should death scare you .
My father passed at 72 and having been lucky enough to sit and hold his hand for the last few hours of his life and sitting chatting to him in his final moments , watching the contented look on his face made me realise that death is not something to fear . As a guy in his late 50s hopefully I will get another 20 years but I can only hope that when my time comes that I pass away as peacefully as my da .

If you asked me this a year ago - NO.

    Now - YES.

If you ask me again in 10 years time when my lad had hit his early 20's- my answer would be NO.

I'm not afraid of dying , but afraid of the pain it will leave behind for one special person.

Nope, and with no football for the foreseeable, if they shut the pubs as well I think I’d be quite happy to depart this lovely land of ours.

I've said before ...you don't remember coming into this world and more than likely a lot of us wont know a thing about it when we leave. I actually believe in Euthanasia at the end for those that are aware, afraid and suffering. We wouldn't put an animal through some of what I have witnessed.
