Yip according to a right few people.

As I said McGuire when Stephen McGowan puts his name to it - it’s came From Lawwell imo. He is his go to guy for stories!

There’s 2 sources capable of confirming; Celtic and Turnbull/his Agents.

Anything else is conjecture, particularly if it’s coming from the Daily Fail.

Clearly trying to cash in on the mcginn situation from last year.
They think we will do anything to avoid the same thing again.
Difference is, turnbull isn’t quite as good.

Tell you what lads this Liam O’Donnell this is the same guy Rodgers called out over Armstrong in 2017!

    On Liam O’Donnell He said:

“There has been an offer there for a long time now which is a really, really good offer. But if representatives feel there are maybe other options for him — and we haven’t had an offer — and they want to wait and wait to see what happens then, okay, that’s what you do. But the player SUFFERS.

It’s not the boy, it’s not him. But if you’re paying someone to make decisions for you and who will gain their commission from it then of course that’s what you look towards.

“But this is something that could and should have been done a long time ago. That’s my feeling on it.

“I have a feeling it might go to the very end of the transfer window”

    History repeating....

Robert Snodgrass is a pretty decent footballer who has become a wealthy man by plying his trade in England. Moving from Livingston to Leeds and then around several mediocre clubs who at best would be staving off relegation. He has been a top performer with these teams and I’m sure his agent has done pretty well with percentages of signing on deals and wage negotiations. I do think Snodgrass could have played in a bigger team and was rumoured with ourselves and sometimes i believe by the lad himself but his agent got him signed on where the money was. Now you can look at the stats and Snodgrass doesn’t have a trophy or medal to his name. He never represented his team in Europe and those are just a few regrets I would imagine he has. 26 Scotland caps and a massive bank account is nice but not the reason you fall in love with the game. And outside of supporting the Hulls, Leeds or West Ham’s of the world the only reason you’d be there is money.

Turnbull has a 3 year deal left at Motherwell

    £800 a week x 156 week = £125,000 approx

    £10k a week x 260 weeks = £2.6m on offer from Celtic BASIC!

If the agent is to blame, he should be a persona non grata at Celtic Park. In fact, we should go out of our way to make his professional life as difficult as possible.

If he's wanting above what we can pay then move on to the next target...if there is one.

This is the straw that breaks the camels back though, the recruitment needs a complete overhaul. Mid-negotiation tweets is no way for a club of our stature to act.

Or as proven. Mcginn at 23 had more experience at a higher profile club, was a Scottish cup winner and a Scottish internationalist. Turnbull is still a kid and has had one good season. He should have jumped at the chance to join us.

I like young Henderson and Mikey Johnston and think we should focus heavily on developing these lads. They deserve it.

That’s the thing I don’t think he is interested at all in joining Celtic reading between the lines!

This. Whether he was coming the * with his agent or no, we should never be following tinpot club's like Motherwell in how we conduct our business..

Now our other problem is he was one of our main target's and now we have no head of recruitment to fall back on (no laughing at the back)....so who the * is lined up next and who the * is lining them up..

Even if this is salvaged somehow, this kid is clearly all about the money. Considering that we're offering him a substantial increase in wages and that's not even good enough is alarming. Don't want him anywhere near the team. Always go for attitude and commitment - this kid doesn't have either. Let him go rot in obscurity down south with his money.

Blaming his agent is no excuse. He makes the final decision. If he think our offer isn't enough, move on.

5k is the limit for a guy coming off one good season at a mid-table SPFL team. He can always sign an improved contract if he makes an impact.
