Keeping the fans in the loop isn’t a bad thing for me. We slate the club enough for doing the opposite and others are making this as public as possible, we never went into detail, just clarified.

I’m not going to complain about that.

Well this will look good when we now approach the likes of Harper or Aribo. Telling them they were always our first choice, and no we haven't blanking them and waiting to see if Turnbull would sign before we got back in touch with them, we were just suffering some technical difficulties with our phone lines.

I think turnbull was 1st choice but i would be happy with aribo or harper , both played at better levels so not overly fussed

Not necessarily true. He simply might not be a big celtic fan and might want the best deal possible. That doesnt make him an *. If you are a joiner with no real ties or loyalties to any particualar company, and two relatively similar sized companies want you to work for them, you are going to go to the one who offers you the most wages and perks. Look at the amount of people who move to Dubai to work purely for money.

Yes we are a huge club, but there are big teams down south too, some of them even in the championship.

Mcginn has shown what can be achieved and he will now be on even better wages at a big club. Maybe his agent is just doing his job and assessing his options to get the best deal for his client.

So league 1 is better than our league? What’s the point in Aribo coming to us then?

Motherwell and Turnbulls agent have used the McGinn saga of last year completely to their advantage. Serves us right for last year

Just read an article that claims he is still on holiday and hasn’t came back for a medical.

anyone else get the feeling lawells tried to lowball him ?

i can understand the why peter lawell might think lets get the guy on a wage for a prospect and see if he becomes a player but thats a pretty hard thing to do in the world of football nowadays especially when your sitting right next to the richest football league in the world

truth is if a talent comes available and we dont offer what richer leagues clubs offer then in all likelihood we will lose the signing

i really hope we havent offered a real lowball offer because it will come out and the embarrasement to the club and us fans will be ridiculous

we just cant seem to get rid of that penny pinching biscuit tin mentality

That or we are too stubborn with our supposed wage structure.

But we will throw 30k a week at Comperr.

Sorry but am always slagging the club for not doing right thing but we have

Paid £3.25m for a guy who has a good season but I don’t remember him standing out.

He is on a reported £800 per week and we have offered him £10,000 per week and he has said he doesn’t want to move to us then move on!

Not blaming the club this time

    Dealt with very amateurishly.

Ffs why plaster it all over social media, conduct the business quietly and if he says no so be it.

Really no need for the “weve offered him a super, duper deal, but hes said nah”.
