Well there will be many clubs prepared to offer him that so yes he has justified it. That’s the price you pay for decent potential in today’s game.

He’s not worth 15k a week... media hype (helped by Celtic bidding for him) has created this...

19 years old and with half a season of decent form for a bottom half club as things stand..

Need to step back and look at the reality of the situation.

Guys heid has been inflated by the whole circus along with Motherwell AND his agent by the sounds of it.

He’s probably on £800 a week right now if even that ...,

Looking for 20x that before you’ve really earned it is ridiculous.

If he’s that stupid to turn down whatever thousands he’s been offered then just withdraw the offer and move on. I’d have more respect for that decision than bending to stupid demands.

He wouldn’t be a guaranteed starter let alone a ‘ make or break’ the season player ...

    Move on Celtic.

I actually think £10k per week is overpaying if I’m honest. I guess it depends on what he wants from his next move, and who else is interested.

Obviously the boys agent isn't happy with his cut and wants him down South for a bigger payday not as if the boy is a Scotland regular and been a standout for a couple of seasons

Three people have now said he's "an 18 year old kid" but he's about to be 20 just saying :fear:

What about Ntcham's move? He was only 21 years old, and had just 41 games under his belt. He'll be on more than £10,000, I'd imagine. We paid a similar transfer fee for him.

Fair enough he might do very well down there but how many go too soon and end up warming a bench.

He's a 16 year old kid, no way should we be paying him £25k a week.

Not really up to date on this and never seen the guy play, but it worries me that our number 1 target (if that's the case) is a kid from Motherwell. Surely 3m could be better spent as well?

Got to agree, sign on prove yourself then get the big money. He’s either being fed a pile of * by his agent or has started to believe his own hype.

I don’t see how they’re comparable. He had played through the French youth system up to U21 level, played first team football in Serie A, and came from Man City.

If the rumours here about him wanting £15k are true, then I can understand the club not paying that.

It's not even about being cheap, we'll have first team players on £15k/week, so if you bring in a 'prospect' on that money then your also risking upsetting the rest of the squad.

Would any of you have been content to miss out on Ntcham because he had asked for a five-figure wage?

Should be a wage cap in every league and depends on whether they have played for their country.
