I’m glad the club tweeted that, hopefully there’s some folk who advise Turnbull with a bit of common sense, it wouldn’t of gotten this far if he never wanted to come here.

 

I always thought when deals were done and agreed h were always subject to a medical rather than having a medical first then trying to agree a deal. The boy is 19, stays with us for 2 year, gets a couple of medals and European experience then he can chase big money down south. Sounds like the lads head has been turned by the agent. He needs some one to have a wee word with him and keep him grounded.

 

Incredulous that his agent was after 20k in wages.

 

Not gonna blame the club for the agent knocking the contract back.

If we deemed him the level/squad tier as a Mikey johnston, and only offered a few grand, so be it.
He is only 19 and has only had one decent season. 3million or not, currently he would be well down the pecking order and likely deemed squad rotation at best, so hardly going to have him on a par with Christie, rogic, McGregor etc.

For me, he needs to have a look at his agent and decide if that agent is the right guy for him. Because if he did sign for us and kept that agent, I'd bet it wouldn't be long till the agent was at it again.





As for the tweet... That's the only part in this whole saga I will lay the blame at the club, it's * as * and beneath us. The * have we turned in to?

Well. Reading around 10k from what I gather is a good offer for a lad who’s 19 and been good for half a season. Think the clubs tweets were stupid and embarrassing. Honestly think it’s the agent at fault here. Club meet Motherwell’s valuation and if the Toulouse is right we offered 10k. So I don’t think the clubs at fault unlike the McGinn saga.

 

I think the club are covering themselves , if it was just that it was rejected a lot of people would be blaming the club and slating lawwell for a * offer.

That tweet suggests he has turned us down. Quite worrying in all honesty. Move on and look elsewhere.

 

The tweet is passive aggressive but I can see why it exists. They want to emphasise that they have tried after the McGinn thing

If we have made him a 'magnificent' offer, we should publish the details of it in full if he rejects it. Then, there can be no doubt that we acted in good faith (the puerile tweets aside).
