Le Sommer's record for Lyon and France is unbelievable.

The watchability has really improved in recent years.

I enjoy watching women's MMA and women's tennis as much as I do the men's sports, and I honestly wish that I had watched USA v Thailand last night instead of Belgium v Scotland (if only for Morgan :100: :giggle1:).

VAR showing it's still not the answer. That wasn't a penalty.

I agree about the score line. Every team has to start somewhere and it is absolute hidings like this that hopefully the Thai girls will take on board as a lesson and know how far behind an acceptable level they are. They will hope to aspire to the level of consistency of the USA and will get there. It’s like when Italy and Argentina joined the world of rugby and were absolute whipping boys but their games have steadily improved and that is the learning curve. You are not going to get that if you aren’t at the games at all.

Don't think we get players forward quickly enough. Cuthbert looks a class above in our team

No wonder you can't take women's footy seriously if that's even the refereeing standards.

Mind you, do you think that Scots captain CB and Jack Hendry could be the Adam & Eve of * defenders?

From what I'm able to catch due to work and not having control of the TV as I'm a sackless *, these women are putting on a good world cup across the board.

Just the ref and vat that is causing problems

Am I the only one that's getting * off with the equal pay * and the claims the women's game is more sporting than the men's?

I would love to get into games for nothing. How the * do the think they can get equal pay when their attendances are awful and ticket prices a few quid?

They've been diving about loads and it's just papered over. They paint the men's game to be full of cheating and they are worse.

Looks like you are the only one aye.

I'd say there is far more cheating in the men's game from what I have seen tbh.

Caught a wee swatch of the France v Nigeria, that VAR pk retake was a disgrace.

VAR is going to just help the big teams, they'll try and come up with some * on every offence for and against the big teams to ensure they're fine.

They're probably * with offside goals, but maybe not.

Coming from a U.S. perspective, so this may be different than most posters...I view some of the complaints about the Women's teams (and what I perceive to be their lack of finances/resources) similar to how I view the team I absolutely love and support: Celtic, of course.

Let's go from there. "Quality" in the SPFL is different from EPL or La Liga or Bundesliga or even Ligue 1. I hear this nonsense all the time and it's infuriating as someone who doesn't follow any team from those leagues. We don't have crooked, inflated funds available to us to base an entire system off of, and thank * for that. We we do have is passion and the best support in the world. Can't buy that, yet we're still unfairly called a tinpot league.

Keep in mind that women in the U.S. likely made a pile more, have a dedicated following (somewhat, for U.S.), and their training programs are funded much more intensely than that of... say Thailand, for instance. There's a lot of improvement to the overall game, but women have struggled to really be acknowledged as contributors in a lot of areas of the world, sport included. It will get better, and hopefully in our lifetimes, but it takes resources, dedication, and supporters willing to wade through the ugly times. Sign me up!
