    You’ll just get players aiming to kick it off peoples arms every game.

    I'm neutral and thought it was a penalty right away. The replay just confirmed it.

    Did anybody else notice the Scottish goalkeeper took a goal-kick that stayed in the box and the referee let it go? Is the rule different in the women's game?

    I had a childish giggle when old Pearcie said that Jill Scott is excellent in both boxes.

    The ref also blew for the game to stop in open play to check the penalty..

    I thought it had to go out of play or the game has to naturally halt. Must be different..

    100% agree. I am not a fan at all and will be consistent in that whenever it is used. I was referencing those that when England(men) had a goal disallowed earlier were all for it, however when the decision goes against Scotland don't seem quit so sure.

    It is a new rule mate. Players don't need to be outside the box but the attacking player does.

    Going by the rules it was the correct decision

    Is that not one of the rules that has changed ? I don't think it has to come out of the box anymore. (Although I am not sure when that starts). In the earlier game Tyler said the new rules around attacking players in the wall comes into play June 25th.

    The problem is that there are far too many inconsistencies in the rules. They said VAR would end the 'pub debate', but it has made more of them! They should have clarified the rules before bringing VAR in.
    I will say this, it added to the entertainment as a neutral last summer! You never knew what the outcome would be, despite thinking I knew the rules!

    In the England game. They also said the keeper must have one feet on the line. They can't stand in front of it or behind it at penalties

    Maybe some changes have already come in
