Must have only half read your post mate, my bad. I've seen him a few times and been impressed. Half my family are motherwell fans and they have been raving about this lad for years, even before he broke through. Some think that he'll be the best player from the academy for decades. They say he's physical yet has great technique, good work ethic and is always looking for a forward pass. They are gutted about losing him as he's a motherwell fan as well.

Grant Russell used to be a decent on Twitter when he worked for STV. He now talks pure * because he’s tied to a single Club.

What a daft post, of course David Turnbull isn’t going to tell his Clubs media guy he’s told his pals he wants to join Celtic ffs.

Celtic face competition from Premier League Bournemouth for Motherwell’s David Turnbull.

The Hoops and Championship new boys Barnsley have both had bids for the £3m-rated midfielder rejected so far by the Fir Park side.

But MailSport understands Eddie Howe’s recruitment team - along with a number of other second tier sides in England - have asked to be kept in the loop as they prepare their own summer sprees.

Derby County, Wigan and Bristol City have also lodged their interest.

But it’s the deep pockets of Bournemouth that could pose the biggest threat to Peter Lawwell’s attempts to land the 19-year-old playmaker.

Bournemouth raked in £108.14m for their 14th place finish in England’s top flight, and are expected to cash in on interest from Arsenal in Scotland winger Ryan Fraser to the tune of £30m this summer.

And while Celtic are reticent to meet Well’s valuation of the player - trying their luck with an early bid of around £2m plus add-ons - they may be forced to go there quickly rather than get involved in an auction they’d almost certainly lose, even if Bournemouth only considered the 15-goal star as a project player.

Turnbull still has two years left on his contract with Motherwell.

Meanwhile, MailSport understands that if a deal does go through as expected, the windfall from the player will wipe out the final tranche of debt due to former owners John Boyle and Les Hutchison.

It's believed that figure is now at less than £700,000 after the sale of Cedric Kipre last summer, and once cleared, the club - which only became full fan-owned two and a half yeas ago - will be completely debt-free.

It’s expected a significant part of the rest of the fee will be reinvested in the academy set-up which turned out Turnbull, as well as their first-team rebuild

I think he'll fancy a move to Celtic and we'll stump up the cash. Looks like the perfect deal.
What's funny is Sevco have been poaching Motherwell's scouting network so they thought they'd land this guy on a free before he signed a new deal. This one is their McGinn. They all wanted Turnbull and it looks as though he's headed to Celtic. Sevco are now begging for him to end up down south. I think this maybe answers Grant Russell's issue: he had it pegged that because the scouting network moved to Sevco, all the players would follow suit and Grant figured he was sitting on this big scoop of Sevco being able to compete with Celtic in the transfer window, long term.

Hate these * blogs wee school boy *!

“Seen Harper with his agent on trophy day!!!”

“Turnbull can’t complete a move away from Motherwell to Celtic until the summer window opens this Tuesday – so not long to wait.”

The latter is pure bullshit anyone even under contract can sign a deal and it is completed the minute the window is open.

ITK * AGAIN!!! Know * all!

CELTIC have vowed the won’t get involved in a summer transfer saga over Motherwell’s David Turnbull.

SunSport understands Hoops chiefs are disappointed details of their verbal offer for the Fir Park teenager went public.

Neil Lennon is an admirer of Turnbull but Celtic are now considering their options.

The Parkhead boss has other midfielder targets and the Scottish champions want to avoid another John McGinn-type saga.

Celtic got stick over that episode – but remain adamant Hibs always preferred to sell the midfielder to an English club.

Celts could yet make an official offer for Turnbull – but have no interest in a long, public bidding war.

Transfer rumour pish. No quotes from Motherwell about anything, none from Celtic.

Just papers writing nonsense for clicks.

"We think Celtic did this and we think Motherwell did that, we also think Motherwell think this about it and Celtic think this about what Motherwell think. Meanwhile we don't know - heres some speculation about what the player is assumed to think based on rumours of what we think he told his friends as someone not connected to the situation wrote it on twitter so it might be true."

Celtic can get a deal done. Lets wait and see how they react if we sign him.

The journalism is at an all time low in this country. I mean in the article claiming Celtic dropped their interest, he's quoted saying a move to England might hinder his development.

The player himself is on record saying.

"If someone offers a lot of money, I’m the sure the club might want to take it – then maybe look at a loan back or something like that.

"Maybe if I was to go down south or to a bigger club, it would be harder to get in the team, let alone be one of the main players."

Doesn't exactly sound like someone wanting a move down south, which makes a mockery of the headline:

"Celtic out of the running for goalscoring midfielder linked with Bristol City and Barnsley - reports"

Think we'll see about that on Tuesday when the window finally opens.

Think this might help us get him. Not sure he would get in our team at the moment.

If your paying 3 million for a player, you don’t loan them back out! For 3 million I’d be expecting the player to make an impact, even if that is coming off the bench.
