Document says that we’re in the market for 2 starting centre halves and a starting right back which is good to see. Doubt this is a finalised list considering it’s from April

Also, I sincerely hope that the next guy will have a bit more imagination than Lee Congerton

 

The list isn’t that bad.

Justin, Tomori, Harper and Aribo all seem like good players.

The French LB I would actually take for cover for KT.

Barker is a bit meh.

The strikers are non starters.

 

Paris is closer to London than Glasgow unreal!

the most frustrating part of all this is that identifying and purchasing ‘hidden gem’ type players is such an essential part of our wider strategy. I accept us not having a wad of cash at hand for each and every transfer we want, but our recruitment department should be first class. Right now it feels as though we would be better served by a kid playing football manager.

I would * love Congerrton’s job btw. Travelling the world (or England) watching football at your employers expense whilst looking for off the radar players. It would be class. Why the * he confines himself to England alone I have no idea. I would be out all day watching football and on the sauce in a new city most nights. Girl in every port kinda thing.

I didnt want to believe that this was true, but it never ceases to surprise how incredibly * we conduct out business.
The inquest into our derisory off field performance should have began last summer when we had a shambolic transfer window.

It's about the only saving grace, that they have at least identified the areas we need fixed. GK aside - Gordon should be moved on and a Number 1 to challenge Bain should be a must.

 

We have only bought Edouard last season and since we have taken in £20m from Dembele and £9m compo for Rodgers, yet we would listen to offers from him? He is one of the best prospects we have.

This is hardly an achievment, is it? Even someone who hasn't even watched a celtic match but saw the list of players and the contract expiration dates would reach the same conclusion. Without signing no one, we would Tierney, Ajer, Jozo, Hendry and Ralston for all four defensive positions. Not even before factoring in that Tierney has injury problems, and Ralston and Hendry are not good enough.

 

Sounds like it's real, Celtic never fail to amaze me these days.

Some of the targets (Zanka, Perraud, Tomori) are actually good players and i wouldn't be against them joining, but the fact we seem want to try and retain Burke and were scouting Brandon barker and Tommy smith gives me the absolute fear. Listening to offers for Edouard and trying to get Mctominay on a season long loan screams lackluster scouting.

Adding Maupay on there is just stupid, he's worth around 20 million for * sake

James Justin seems like a decent talent but he'd cost over 7 million and we need an experienced RB this summer, not another kid.

Only one of the players on that list is outside of britain, that is beyond lazy scouting.

My only hope is this list is not indicative of what's to come and was a list Congerton wipped up before he left for Leicester. Need either a DOF or a head scout in the next week or it's going to be a long summer

(If the list is real mind you, i still have my doubts but there are a lot of outlets reporting it and BBC says Celtic are investigating)

I don't know what's worse....the shambolic list of targets or the fact that there is some grass * high up at Celtic.

Should give everyone different info and see what one is leaked.

 

Perhaps that is what Celtic mean by "looking in to it" Maybe this is the bad information and someone has just been caught out ?

With regards to Edouard, it does say, "likely to be interest in the summer". They're not actively looking to sell but more likely he'll want to leave.

What/or who does "LSL" stand for in the, "LSL to circulate key options list for all positions"?

 

We already tried all this with the team lineups and even when the wrong one's were going about we still haven't flushed anyone out..

We are a poorly run club from top to bottom. We have a turnover of over £100m yet we dont even assess candidates for the managers position, we are looking to sign players without a head of recruitment, our CEO thinks hes our cheif scout. We fail to strengthen from a position of strength. Last season we could have had champions league football if we only signed a RB that we've been crying out for. Selling Dembele - no replacement, letting Boyata run down his contract as we couldnt sell him as we had no-one lined up. Do we even have scouts? or just take punts on recommendations from guys like Kolo Toure (Kouassi, Bayo) etc.

We have a higher wage bill than Ajax/ Salzburg yet we are miles behind them on and off the park.

 

Somebody might be trying to expose the rot so we could start changing.

 

That or the clubs leaked it to manage expectations. Either way its a sorry state of affairs.
