I had sympathy for him as it reminds me of me on Sunday in the bar

 

It’s a sad situation... but not much sympathy for him.

How many chances does somebody need to sort themselves out? He’s had a career full of opportunity, wealth and fame... and just abused it and himself repeatedly.

He has been his own worst enemy for the last 15 years...pandering to the ‘fans’ to top up his ego snd bank balance... but the ones who encourage him and use him are as bad if not worse.

The guy has wasted himself.
Is he even 50 yet? Looks like some old jakey who spends all his time at the end of a bar and is then banging on the pub door at 11 the next morning to do it all again.

It’s Probably his family we should feel sympathy for.

 

Has his issues.

I do not I know how to feel about the guy. I don't like the guy but at the same time his life is ruined.

I would rather be civil when talking about him rather than say something nasty like the cretin huns.

 

Hated gazza when he was at sevco but don't wish anything bad on him he was easily led all his life and always had problems with drink and drugs like many people I hope he can turn his life around!

 

Or him getting a taxi to Tesco with only his dressing gown on for a litre of voddie, that picture will haunt me forever.

 

Used to have sympathy, been a few years though

 

It must be frightening how many footballers alone have spent readies on helping him and top clinics etc..

There's genuinely been loads and loads past and present..

 

never liked the guy but he always seemed to be the "class clown" the guy who craved acceptance into the group he was in and behaved in the way he thought would buy him that acceptance. the "guys" who hung around during the "good times" have all gone and the guy is left to deal with being the * that he is on his own. we will wake up some morning and he will have gone and then the so called mates will come back out of the woodwork to say how he was misunderstood and a troubled character. the guy had everything and squandered it, he is an *, wife beater and hun * who played to the crowd for whatever reason. I normally have a lot of time for people going through addition issues as they are at least trying to help themselves but this guy has had the best of care that most people can't afford and yet he just reverts back to obnoxious hun * as soon as he gets sight of a vodka bottle. leave the * to it, I am sure his ex wife is saying the same.

 

My first reaction is it's sad seeing a man in that state begging for drugs but this is been going on 20 years now. There's no hope for him. As a human being, it's not nice seeing someone in that state! As much as I dislike him and hated him for all what he was, I do have sympathy for him because at the end of the day, that mans demons have destroyed him and it's not nice to see. There was a time I'd have loved to see him * everything up and end up a down and out but not now!

As for this * sharing the video of his hero! He's part of what's wrong with society today. He should have kept that video to himself or even deleted it! I know I would have it if was one of my idols growing up.

What * me off about this getting your mobile out and filming bollocks is the self obsession. It's like everyone is a journalist...I can take this video and post it online.

I witnessed an accident where an old lady died in Belfast a few years ago. It drew a sizeable crowd but instead of helping the people out people took their phones out and filmed it while others went to help.

It is so * annoying that people are like this.
