I’d be suprised if they wanted hendry, but you’re right, get it done quickly and pay what they ask, penny pinching cost us McGinn

I don’t think Hendry is a bad player, just not Celtic class. Reckon he’d fit in fine at Motherwell

Step up and offer £2.25m or something as a take it or leave it. They won't be able to turn down that kind of money.

They said they will not accept a penny less than £1.75m but £2.5m would get it done I imagine

Good on them, don't undersell. If we want him, show the intent, pay the money and get it done. No reason to * them about or we'll lose out.

My mate says he's a hun (I think it's actually he's from Coltness in Wishaw - I seen a non-football page on fb mentioning this). Which is funny cos Hastie is apparently a Tim.

    The times we're living in.

Tbh, I’d pay the £5m if that’s what it takes. A guy at that age scoring 16 goals (and assisting 8) from midfield/out wide in a team pretty much devoid of creativity, flair and service is impressive, even in our league. I know he’d get closed down more playing for us, but he looks like he’d have the game intelligence to deal with that.

At 19, he could develop a lot further and we’d more than recoup that money somewhere down the line.

I think if he were playing in a different country with a similar standard of league and had scored and assisted that many, guys on here wouldn’t bat an eyelid at £5m.

Ive got absolutely no problem with clubs demanding top dollar. We do the same when teams try to poach our players.

Why shouldn't Motherwell wring every penny?
