    Surely one of Forrest, Shved or Roberts could be moulded into a left winger?

    Just seems insane to pass up on Roberts for about £4m.

    No, Sinclair played his best football with Armstrong in the team, his runs in behind gave Sinclair the space along with KT overlapping. That’s why he also found a bit of form when Christie started playing since he’d make the same type of runs to create space.

    Doesn''t mean he can't play there. Paddy Roberts had probably never played 10 or striker before we signed him either, Ajer had never played centre-back, until this season Christie had never played centre-mid. Johnston pretty much always played wide left for the youth teams but in the first team he's played 90% of his games as striker, right side or 10. Callum McGregor was a 10 who then only played wide right for about 2 years for the first team and now plays centre-mid.

    If the player has the ability then they could play there fine. Hayes at left-back, Mulgrew/Wnyama/Bitton at centre-half, Armstrong/Stokes/Samaras on the left wing, even Scott Brown as a defensive midfielder, if you watched Brown at 17-21 he was more an attacking midfielder, even playmaker style and a quick dribbler, often played on the right wing for Hibs back then people probably wouldn't have imagined he'd turn out a solid defensive midfielder.

    But thats speculation though, he could be mince though. From his past performances i think we might see him in a half striker role behind french eddy.

    Dont get me wrong, i'd love him to be our next amazing 10. But at the moment its more wishfull thinking from us than anything based on his experience as a player

    I can't believe anybody who watched him in the hoops wouldn't want him back, he was absolute class, has that magic touch and lifts the fans when he's on the ball. Must-sign imo.

    Even when not taking on men he has that vision for a pass, I think that is very understated with him.
