I actually don’t think the issue recently has been not spending enough, it’s been spending poorly.

I believe that Rodgers was backed reasonably well financially and given an unprecedented level of control. The Boyata situation in particular is very supportive of this, because it sure as * wasn’t Lawwell who refused to sanction selling an average defender with a year left on his contract for £9m.

Where Lawwell did let us down was McGinn. No doubt about that. He was identified as a player Rodgers wanted and he should’ve been pulling on the hoops in time for the first day of pre-season.

I get the impression that Rodgers knew he was off and planned (or didn’t plan) accordingly. The entire fan base could see that we needed a new RB, and that Izzy coming in as cover at LB was basically negligence.

 

Time this * stepped up and earned that massive bonus.

 

Lawell surpassed yourself this time with the timing of the announcement that you were offering Lennon the job permanent couldn't even let the fans have a night to celebrate the treble treble

I’m not happy with this appointment but I’ll keep the faith and hope it is to ensure the Rodgers money is spent on players.

Only losing 10iar will stunt the good work Lawell has done.

We will not be spending this summer. Loans and frees. The £7mil Rodgers compensation and £2.5mil year salary of him and his coaching team will not be reinvested.

Lying *. Had Lenny not won the triple treble, Lawwell would have had to find a different name. Although, it's strange to read that the contract has only been offered to Neil, but the appointment not confirmed.

 

He is getting the driveway heater 5000 this winter with the cash, with added disco lights.
