    That's the thing here. We all said we didn't want Lenny to get the job if it meant going back to those levels of investment.

    I wanted Lenny to get the job; but it's a legitimate concern and if we don't invest real money on players this summer, then we have every right to be furious.

    Funnily enough, Dermott Desmond's face at FT was interesting there. Really interesting.

    If the board don't back him to build a team that plays his way, they are basically just hanging him out to dry. Right now he doesn't have the personnel to play his way.

    I'm glad for him that he completed the treble but * sake he shouldn't have been offered the job. I'm disappointed.

    Having said that I'll support him and hope he does well.

    The timing of this decision is ridiculously cynical, the board are * chancers who will look to take the cheap option EVERY TIME if given the opportunity, this game was their opportunity. We took massive steps forward with Rodgers and this just feels like a massive step in the opposite direction.

    I was worried that going all out on the manager front might spoil the funds for squad reconstruction if they have went down the lennon option then they better invest the Rodgers and impending dembele cash on the squad
