Well a bit of a change of scenery for me than my usual getaways to say the least....

Been having a gander online at these cabin get away things and struggling to find what I'm looking for and some are insanely expensive as in for two nights I can get flights and two weeks hotels in my preferred destination.

Just light some candles, buy some fancy Forresty background canvases, some poofy pillows and some whale music.

Then proceed in fingering your * and having an almighty * session.

    No worries.
These are good as well but I wouldn’t pay full price, they’re extortionate. Have a swatch on itison there’s usually deals on there.

I can recommend a few places up north as I travel there frequently. However, you're right - it's extortionate if you're looking for cabins. You need one or two other couples going with you to keep it reasonable.

We've stayed at a few of these lodges and the novelty has worn off.

One of the ones we tried was the River Beds near Glencoe. They are asking £450 per night in high season!!!!! That's just silly money. As you say £900 for two nights can pay for flights, a nice hotel and some spending money left for a foreign break.

They are funky and it's a good design of using a small space, but that's it. It's a cramped little pod that isn't fun for anything other than a night or two.

The hot tub wasn't as clean as it should have been. Neither was the pod to be honest. Lots of dead squashed insects that should have been cleaned.

We couldn't sit outside as there was millions of midges. They don't come near the hot tub though.

There was a hotel a few minutes walk away, but they were too busy to let extra custom in for food. You only have a microwave in the pod to cook food. The next pub for grub was over 1 mile away. There was a cracking restaurant about 2-3 miles away.

This is probably better for a group doing the NC500 tour and wanting a night together at the beginning or end. The pods were good and a good bit more space.

There was also a large sheltered area in the centre of the pods for a large group to meet and have a BBQ etc. It's really fun with a group.

You're miles away from anything though.

What about hiring a campervan for a few nights?
