Yeah about that, I’m still a bit off being able for that but I’ve plenty of time!

I did the 15k only 6 seconds longer than the 14k I did last week so improving speed all the time. Football season over now as well so will be out running more.

Some going man that's a fair clip. Furthest I've ever done was 17k in about 1 hour 40. Just back from a 7.5k there in 46 mins.. my furthest run in a couple of months.

Doing 4.5-5 minute kilometres I can only do about 4k at a push. Good luck with the 1/2 marathon

Also, anyone clued up on macros and calories and stuff. I track what I eat and try and shoot for about 200g or less carbs and 50g or less fat and as much protein as I can get and that's normally in 2,000 cals give or take. Not sure if it's counterproductive or whatever, not got any goals as such, just to stay lean and defined and obviously be fit. Not doing any cardio really at the moment due to injury, lift about 3/4 times a week and normally sit about 64kg ish although that's a wee bit higher after my week off work.

I think that a lot too. Nicer weather I always think I can get a run in tomorrow morning, alarm goes off 6:30 and I snooze it without even a second thought

Don’t be too hard on yourself. If you want to do that, try it once per week, see how that goes otherwise you’ll * yourself off and say * it if you plan a few and miss any.

16k last night, did it in 1 hour 22, so kept my pace at 5.07 min per km while adding a km.

The long runs are a serious buzz, can see myself running a marathon in the next year or so for sure.

Having hit my 30s I've started to form a wee belly which I'm half heartedly trying to lose. For the first time in my life, I feel heavy and sluggish.

I've smoked so much weed over the years that I genuinely struggled like * to run a mile. I can do it in about 9 minutes, but I'm destroyed afterwards and can't seem to push beyond it at all.

Good starting point mate on yourself! Keep at it and you’ll be improving in no time

PS. Don’t feel like you need to run non- stop. Try running for 5 minutes walking for 5 minutes then running again for example. Might find you get the distance up by doing that.

Kenny man, there’s no rule book to say what time you need to be running. It’s you against you.

Being destroyed is fine. Don’t set your targets ridiculously high, you don’t need to be shedding pounds daily or stripping minutes off your time.

Keep doing what you’re doing, if it takes you 10 minutes one day, so *, it’s 10 more minutes of running than the Kenny that gave up. As @Boruc17 says, improvements will come in time.

I have a pretty eclectic playlist for the gym, everything from cheesy dance to heavy metal. Basically anything with a quick tempo does the job for me.

Bellissima by DJ Quicksilver is great running tune.
