I'm honestly starting to think no that it's going to be Lennon.

Reasons being we're hearing rumours now that the "new" manager is going to be announced after the cup final, you have guys like Benkovic talking in the paper now about Lennon wanting him back NEXT season etc.

I'd have been far more comfortable with Lennon getting the job IF John Park were coming back with him, but it looks likely now that he's gonna be the DoF at Sunderland.

I just want the speculation over with now in all honesty, and if it's going to be Lennon then.....well, he better be properly backed.

My hope is that if Lenny was getting it he’d have been announced by now. Surely it doesn’t depend on him beating Hearts in the final?

I'd have jumped at Moyes to 10 year ago when he was at Everton, but times change and football evolves.

*, Jose Mourinho was a footballing manager "*" and now he's a bit of a laughing stock (in some quarters). Time for us to find a new progressive manager, but I'm doubting it'll be anything other than Lennon now...

If Lennon's getting it, I'd be announcing it now.

But then again I can see why it wouldn't as it might take the focus off the players' minds having a bit of a media circus over him being appointed.

Surely that would be better than all the uncertainty surrounding the club just now?

I can see why that would be the case, but if it's going to be Lennon, then he and a select few players will already know it.

Rafa has dropped to 4/6 ahead of Lennon. Something happened?

    Suppose so.

Feel like the next couple of weeks it’s going to be a different manager linked every other day. Carvalhal and Bilic today.

Aye, it certainly doesn't do anything for us supporters all this constant speculation (especially with ST renewals now imminent).

One way or another we're going to know after the 25th May.

After the loss at the cesspit, I'm sure it does depend on that game. Even before that, the silence was a sign of indecision by the board.

Just heard from a taxi driver here in Saigon that Derek McInnes met Dd and PL at a * spot in Carnlough where they sat in a honda civic eatin doner kebabs thrashing out a deal. But when Lawwell told Del boy our budget for the season he said the concomitant risks of trying to overthrow the mighty rangers and their army of bosmans was too high .Now we put bungle from rainbow in place but sack him off in favor of zippy until we inevitably announce Wayne "is that yer granny over there, she looks like shes wet as october, here hold my lube" Rooney as head coach with the added purview of finishing the 19/20 season with literally * all, but hes a scouser and a winner and wore an england shirt so its grand.

Good times ahead guys. Good times.

I wonder if Lennon would be moving into a director of football role here now that congerton has hit the road might explain why he's out scouting players

Need to get someone in soon - the longer we leave it, the less time the new manager will have to make an impact. For me it has to be a manager with good pedigree and something to prove. Must have a strong/winning mentality and must be able to attract quality players.

Lennon is underwhelming and can’t help but feel it would be a backwards step. Moyes appears to be a snake - I think he would jump at the first chance of another job. Rafa and Mourinho is nonsense talk. Bilic? Possibly.

Whoever the manager is, the board need to back him fully. I’d consider punting Rogic and Ntcham along with the deadwood, if reinvested this would give the manager approx a 30 million budget to sign up to 5 first team players and put their stamp on the team.

There is absolutely no chance an announcement on a new manager would be made before the cup final.
