I'd take him over Moyes or Clarke.

But it simply has to be Wenger.

 

Wouldn't be against Bilic tbh, not sure he's tactically that astute but he's a motivator and a strong leader, as well as a likeable character.

 

Why do the sites have Rafa odds on? Is there something we don't know?

 

Previously voted Bilic in the poll, would take the big mad * in a heartbeat.

 

He's not tactically naive. He was willing to set up somewhat defensively against big sides, when he managed Croatia. I have not watched his West Ham team, so I cannot comment on that.
But in comparison to the inexperienced Niko Kovač that came after him, his Croatia NT looked more solid.

 

When pressed for comment on the job he simply replied 'up the ra'

Bilic had a bit of hype about him previously, but his recent record isn’t great.

 

His time at West ham was similar to Rodgers here, made an instant impact with a decent squad but progressively got worse year on year. I think the stadium change really affected the whole club though so it was harsh to sack him, but they were on a really poor run.

 

Not too keen on Bilic. I’d probably take him over a few of the names mentioned but his record at club level is hardly inspiring.

Got sacked by a Saudi team a few months ago.

I reckon we’ll end up appointing someone no one has even thought of, like Jack Ross or Paul Lambert. Or someone cropped from the German 3rd division who’s highly rated.

 

Bilic has expressed an interest in managing us on a couple of occasions, most notably after Strachan left and when Bilic's stock was relatively high.

His agent, Rudi Vata (who used to play for us?) told BBC Scotland that Bilic would walk to Glasgow to manage Celtic.

Instead, we offered the job to Mowbray (having been already knocked back by Owen Coyle) and the rest, as they say, is history.

I'd take him over Lennon. He would be nearing the top of my B list coaches.

Mourhinho and Rafa and AVB being top of the A list in that order.

There is a good reason that Bilic and Moyes are both unemployed and touting for the Celtic job, their stock is low no one is approaching them. They see us as an ideal way to raise their stock and then move on. Wouldnt trust either of them to get us over the line for 10iar.

 

Zeljko Buvac? He was Klopps no2 and then just disappeared. Klopp nicknamed him the brain. Be an interesting appointment that.
