Personally hope we get Rodgers back in time for 15 in a row once he’s finished * Leceister :35:

At this point ive genuinely resigned myself to a cup final defeat being the only thing stopping Lenny the dinosaur getting the job permanently

I want Lenny and don't agree that he's a dinosaur; but I guarantee you that DD has Lawwell looking for the best possible candidate we can get. They are businessmen and will know that the best managers are an investment (and a good one at that*). We have always done our deals behind closed doors.

Don't you worry. We will only get Lennon if he really is the best guy available for us. Lawwell won't let sentimentality interfere with that. Whatever other faults he has, being a fluffy sentimentalist afraid to upset people is not one of them.

    * I mean, just don't let them take control of our scouting network and bring in Lee * Congerton; but apart from that they are a very good investment.

Aye why run the risk of getting someone, like br, if there is a chance that we could lose them in a couple of years time ... * mental statement to make :56:

If Leeds don't get promoted I would be on the phone to Bielsa right away...

That’s a few of them that have came out with that patter.

    Genuinely embarrassing.

    Exactly mate.

I’ve already said I’ve got no problem with people wanting Lennon as manager. It’s the desperation some people go to to justify his appointment. I think that’s the best one. Can’t get a better manager because he will be too successful and move on eventually.

    Ffs :s:

That’s no the point anyone is making

The point people are making is if Lennon was to get an offer from a mid table side he wouldn’t just leave us high and dry. We get someone else in that’s foreign with no connection to us or just a rat * like rodgers then you’re setting yourself up for a situation where it’s february and you’re manager has * off with the entire back room team and you have to rely on a Celtic man like Lennon to come in and steady the ship.

So we should limit ourselves to searching for average managers in fear that a top one will leave us mid season which has happened once in our history and now all of a sudden every good manager we will get is gonna leave mid season with all our staff?

    Quit your skulking around fella

    He wouldn’t though.

The best he could get after us was Bolton. Don’t think he’s very highly rated by anyone other than some Celtic fans.

Well at least he won't have to work with Lee Congerton as he * off to Leicester.

Hopefully the new guy can now go into the season and get some decent guys in.

Not convinced by that at all.

He didn't always seem so committed during his first tenure - particularly when his stock was at its highest. Suddenly, after a few bits of success in the CL the Celtic manager's job had a shelf-life and then his image was being re-crafted: first there was the suit and tie in Turin then the in-depths interviews set up with Geoff Shreaves on Sky Sports. He was being presented as the next exciting young coach that EPL clubs should take a chance on. And he was lapping it up. Even then, when he resigned in 2014, all he could get was Bolton.

Look not doubting Lennon would leave for an English team if they came along at the right time but he’d never leave in the manner that Rodgers did, in the middle of a season the day before a big game

    I just don't know tbh

If they told him it's now or never, I'd lean more towards him leaving. After all, he could justify it in precisely the same way the snake did: won a cup, in QFs of other cup, 8 points clear in the league.

Think people finding it bizarre that people want stability for going for 10 in a row is a weird, weird thing
