Criticising someone who doesn’t exist to shift the blame from Lennon for offering Izzy a contract?

Can already foresee lawell's press conference with Lennon.

'Neil knows the club and what 9 in a row means to the fans. He's proven since appointed as intern manager he is a winner and can continue the success we've enjoyed in recent seasons'.

While Lennon chips in about his relationship with the board being great.

Reading some of the comments in this thread is depressing, we just won the 8IAR in convincing style just a few days ago FFS.

Have to ask this.....If and when Lenny gets the job will you doubters bury the hatchet and back him 100%?

It's a tongue in cheek post. I thought this was pretty obvious. It's amazing how many people cannot see this.

So you seem to know for a fact Lenny has offered Izzy a new contract. Is this definitive proof he has been offered the job or is PL giving him the the job of build next years team for "someone who doesn't exist"?

I must remember in this thread and the Neil Lennon thread not to post anything lighthearted in case the anti-Lenny brigade try to use it against him.

Perhaps you would like to also answer the question posted above.

Looking like it's going to be Lennon now I think. Not who I wanted but hey ho, renewed anyways like I woulda done anyways regardless. Just hope whoever it is is given half decent funds as we need a few first teamers in sooner than later for any chance in the qualifiers...

Number one is Neil Lennon... Number two is Neil Lennon.. :fear:

It's mad how vicious some of the * on here and on the other thread are being, even if we win on Sunday and on the 25th they will still be giving out.

People are saying Lennon is the cheaper option, but I don't think so, because if we were to go out and get some obscure buff manager who would in anyway be successful then he would be snapped up by a club from a bigger lge and we would be getting another compensation package.

Ok. I disagree. Just as I dont believe theres 10000 on a waiting list. All I'm saying is there is a lot of apathy towards Lennon being appointed boss, and the board will hold off on announcing it til aftet the deadline has passed.
Yes, the prospect of 10 IAR will always be there to entice other people to buy a season ticket, but being on a waiting list isn't the same thing as someone renewing and having the cash in the bank.

    Absoloutely no question.
As far as I'm concerned I've already done that anyway by renewing.
The appointment doesn't fill me with confidence or inspire any great hope of a vast change of style of play.
But I'll be there as always

The fact that not many people are linked or thrown hat into the ring means lennon is manager for me

Lets be fair, none of us really knows what's been/being discussed behind closed doors.

If Lennon gets the job I will back him to the hilt because he loves Celtic.
But once again it will show a total lack of ambition and penny pinching at its very best.

Not if it means a larger budget to improve the team.

Let's be honest: it won't. I think it's more likely we refuse to spend a penny in the summer than anything else. Loans and frees.
