100%, ill never forget his name ever for the reason i explained in my post here. I heard it on my das car radio. It was a sunny day in belfast that day and he was in the car with it full blast- Dramatic news from Ibrox! Alley has scooooooored (pause)-------------- Ally Mitchell has scored for kilmarnock!! youd have thought my da won the euro millions when the name mitchell has scored for kilmarnock was mentioned instead of what we thought was Ally mccoist when he first said Ally. I think teh huns also got humped in the cup fianl that year aswell.

Lovin the stories on here. Here's mine.
Over from Dublin. By boat. Ticketless. Tried the Barras early, eventually gave up, had just left the hoops bar when 1st goal went in. Outside Paradise was torture, thank * I wasn't inside, I proberly couldn't look at it. Strange hey! Before mobiles thank * for that too. We huddled around a radio. There wasn't many outside just a few. Then BOOM. 2nd goal went in. The weight off the shoulders was incredible. The fookin release. As we heided to the front of Paradise. Crowd appeared. Flags, champagne. Boyd came out doin the 'Gough 10'. It was pure class. Anyways to cut a long story short. I love a good sess in Glas'ge. I think I was in bed at 11pm that nite. My earliest haha. Pished as a fookin fart. On a sad note. A guy from Dublin died from a fire in a B&B that nite. Which was a sad note traveling back home. Hope he's lookin down enjoying no7 today.

I was 10 years old. Old enough to appreciate it but not quite old enough to understand just how momentous it was.

It was the first league title we'd won in my lifetime. The interesting (and frightening) thing about being a Celtic fan at that time was the expectation that Rangers would come out on top more often than not - over the course of the season at least. Even when we stopped the 10, it was almost like a glitch in the matrix. Of course in those days, and at that age, I had no idea that it was fuelled by a mountain of debt and EBT's, and that we were in fact the larger club by an order of magnitude.

I remember the day well. Watched it at The Irish Abbey in Chicago and with the time difference that meant is was in the AM. Had a long and very enjoyable day after the game.

Some brilliant characters in that team then.
What a brilliant day that was.

Mind my mum driving me home from the town after walking in with my dad and uncles. Driving down the paisley road en route to cardonald......the greeting depressed Huns down the grapes and other manky Huns shops was a joy to see
