Absolutely mate, time and time again he looks beaten and pulls something out the bag.

Even those last 2 frames he gave Bingham chances though. Like you said Robertson will beat him comfortably if he gives him the same chances.

It's honestly incredible how he does it..

I get sweaty palm's just watching him at these big crucible tournaments as he's always having to chase frames and gives you a fright..

If he can get by Robertson (which is a tall order), you never know. Hope he does it..

I think Higgins has the temperament to see out these longer matches than most. Not so hot in the shorter tourneys but when it comes to the crucible his match play and knowledge of how to play often sees him through, even when he’s not at it. He could have been 6 time world champ. And he’s prob got another one in him.
Would b good if he turned up at CP with his trophy, like he did in98, to make our season a quadruple!

Higgins starting where he left off last night, gets himself in amongst the balls and misses a * easy black to leave himself scrapping to try and win the frame. Robertson will not let him off the way Bingham did.

As expected Robertson not letting higgins off with stupid mistakes, fear for him here a bit.

A dreadful mini session, had chances in all 4 frames but some really poor misses/safety shots cost him. Being honest he was lucky to even get the frame on the board. Can't see anything but a comfortable Robertson win now. Anything less that 3-1 in the next mini session and it's done.

Well in higgins, did well to weather the storm and he'd have snapped your hand off for 4-4 at the break there.

Bravo Higgins. Was not expecting to see the score at 4-4 earlier

Was getting in and getting decent leads but folding again on positioning and poor safety/snookers..

Let Robertson in time and time again and was clinically punished..

Then the frames started becoming longer and a grind and it deffo put Robertson off his game. Started looking more ropey..

Higgins could've arguably been up but at 4-2 down he'll be absolutely ecstatic to claw it back..

The finish came at the wrong time for Higgins. Was getting in to a groove. Good rest though and hopefully turns it on properly tomorrow..

Alan McManus is also a Tim. Dunno bout McGuire. I’m sure there was another Scott in the tournament this year: Scott Donaldson. He’s fae Perth so could be a St J fan.

Very well put cool Bhoy Yes Higgins will be in a much better frame of mind after that session. Robertson played really well but it is 4-4.
When Higgins went 0-2 down I thought he had run out of gas but we know right this fine Celtic fan off at your peril.
I think It will be Higgin’s turn to play really well in the next session and he will win it and this time 2 or 3 centuries by the Scot.

He looked frustrated today. Got a few bad contacts at the wrong time and a couple heavy bounces off the cushion as well. I think both players actually were bemoaning the cushions, although Higgins seemed to get the worst of it.

    Bit harsh mate :giggle1:

He doesn't seem too bad for a current from Larkhall..

If you were to picture a wee gremlin looking hun from Larkhall, it would be him though :giggle1:
