Didn’t think it was out whilst watching live either but it definitely looks out when you see that picture, whether that’s before or after he kicks it.

Didn't see the game. Was there any of the first team there watching?

Young lad Harper upfront was the standout for me - tenacious, pacey and direct. Decent finish for his goal and good header for the one that got chopped off.

Can tell Dembele has something special. Didn’t start great but grew into the game and looked a threat every time he got turned. Coffey looked neat and tidy as well.

Oko Flex was a big disappointment.

That ball is clearly over the line. Your argument doesn’t make sense either btw. If he had already kicked it at that point, then he’s kicked it out of play...therefore a goal kick.

Was it the youth branch of the LRA doing the officiating?

The American lad, Harper, up front, and Dembele were the only outfield players who looked decent for us. Keeper seemed good too though. The rest looked poor IMO especially the defenders who were awful. Overall sevco deserved it, they looked more mature physically and played at a higher tempo and intensity than our own lads. They were also far more robust at defending than ourselves, we were shambolic at times. They also seemed more streetwise, knowing how to wins fouls and such. It was also disappointing to see we weren't using a pressing-game to try and stop the opposition, just being content to drop off and sit back. Every team of quality at this moment in time presses the opposition constantly all over the field never giving them a moments rest, it's one of the main reasons English clubs are so strong at the minute as they do it better than anyone. If our youngsters are to make it to an advanced level they will simply have to have both the desire and the fitness to be able to constantly press and chase down other players and i think the youth coaches are mistaken in not having them doing so already.

Putting our ex-players in charge of our youths will always hold them back. We should be out looking for guys that will coach them to play the way we want our first team playing, last night was an indictment of that. A lot of them didn't look comfortable on the ball and our tactics seemed to be hit it long and hope that the boy upfront would get on the end of it.

The fact we're the wealthiest and largest club in the country and that's the best we have coming through is a bit of a worry.

Does anyone know the ages of both starting 11s? Might be just me but most of our team looked a little bit smaller/younger.
