Could be a big goal considering the league could go down to goal difference.

    Pj Crossan? Is he real?.

Good to see, yet again, flex is involved in scoring.

With any luck * like him, Mikey and Dembele offer us something in a few years.

A YOUNG Celtic side recorded an impressive 3-1 victory over Motherwell to leapfrog the Lanarkshire side at the top of the Reserve league table.

Tommy McIntyre’s side showed great attacking intent from the start of the game and took the lead after just four minutes when Armstrong Oko-Flex side-footed the ball home from eight yards out.

It was the perfect start for the Hoops and just minutes later, Mikey Johnston came close to extending the lead, but his effort was denied by the Motherwell goalkeeper.

Celtic were forced to make an early change when captain Kerr McInroy was forced to come off with an injury after 19 minutes, with Barry Coffey replacing him, but the change didn’t disrupt the rhythm of Celtic’s play.

PJ Crossan came close on the half-hour mark, but couldn’t beat the keeper, and the Hoops needed Ryan Mullan to come to their rescue with seven minutes of the match remaining, preventing Motherwell from scoring a close-range effort.

And on the stroke of half-time, Crossan doubled Celtic’s lead. The striker drove through the middle of the park before firing a shot beyond the Motherwell keeper from 20 yards out.

The opening exchanges of the second half saw chances for either side, but it was Celtic who scored their third of the afternoon after 65 minutes, with Mikey Johnston producing some wonderful skill to glide past several challenges before slotting the ball home from inside the box.

Motherwell reduced the deficit with five minutes remaining when Conor Sammon fired home from a tight angle, but it was no more than a consolation goal and the Hoops ran out well-deserved 3-1 winners.

Celtic fear they’re about to lose top youngster Liam Morrison to the BUNDESLIGA.

SunSport understands the highly-rated defender – who recently turned 16 – is being wooed by Hoffenheim

Scotland youth ace Morrison is regarded by many as the best centre-half prospect in the country.

The Hoops are desperate to secure him on a long term professional contract to ward off growing interest in his future including from major English clubs.

Ironically, it’s understood former CELTIC talent spotter David Moss is the man behind Morrison’s possible stunning move to Germany.

Agent Moss – who also had a spell as head of football operations at Huddersfield Town – is advising the Hoops babe.

Right-sided academy graduate Morrison’s a stylish stopper and Hoffenheim, like many other Bundesliga outfits, are taking an ever greater interest in young British talent.

For long enough it’s not been uncommon for our best clubs to lose the cream of their up and coming players to English giants, Billy Gilmour’s move from Rangers to Chelsea in 2017 a prime example.

But now pathways for them to top Euro leagues is a dramatic new threat for the Old Firm.

A Morrison move to Germany would see Celtic receiving modest compensation.

Former Rangers centre-half David Bates signed for Bundesliga 2 side Hamburg last year and settled quickly, impressing enough to force his way into the Scotland set-up.

Not heard much about him but going by that article he sounds very promising and it’s an added kick in the balls that he’s a CB!

Ball playing CB we took from the Huns. Massive Tim as well so hopefully he stays even though Germany is probably one of the best places a youngster can go.

Would just be our luck that we finally produce a decent centre back through the system then we lose him.

We've signed a 15-year-old Irish winger, Ben Quinn. Manchester City had invited him for a trial.

Celtic have beaten off the likes of Manchester City and Wolves to snap up Irish wonderkid winger Ben Quinn.

The nephew of former Sheffield United and Hull City midfielder Stephen Quinn agreed to move to Parkhead for next season after impressing Hoops scouts.

The 15-year-old played for Dublin club Cheery Orchard and had been invited for trials at City, Wolves, Norwich City, Sheffield United and Derby Count

But he has been persuaded to move to the Scottish champions to join young compatriots such as Tommy Caffrey and Barry Coffey, who also both signed last year for the Hoops.

eltic have invested in their scouting system in Ireland and the capture of Ireland Under 15s starlet Quinn is their latest coup.

Hoops chief exec Peter Lawwell welcomed him to the club.

Hopefully not too sore a topic for many but curious about Andrew Robertson whom I believe is the best LB in world football atm and if there is anything more to his dismissal than height? Anyone see him play for Celtic youth?

Liverpool have the best pair of complete young fullbacks in football, for me

We released him because he was too small and we thought Joe Chalmers was a better prospect...

The irony in Gordon Strachan releasing anyone for being too small as well...

He clearly wasn’t the player he is just now, the set backs have actually made him, but we shouldn’t be releasing guys who have potential based solely on their physical attributes and hopefully we won’t ever again moving forward.

Morrison would be a blow if we lost him, for years we haven’t produced a half decent centre half and this lad looks like the real deal.

Robertson for me is not a massive loss, we have KT. What I like about Robertson he took the rejection on the chin worked hard and look at him now.

Reminds me when Shay Given was let go for being too small as a keeper and we though someone else was better......

Hope we get the league won at the weekend and we give some of the youngsters a run out.

Our u20's face off against Sevco in the Glasgow cup final tonight at Celtic Park. No tickets available again but it is live to all subscribers on Celtic TV for those that have it. Hopefully a wee bit of revenge after the 17's lost out last week. K/O 7pm.
