I knew I quoted it but it wasn’t really a reply to your post just my opinion. I didn’t highlight anything in that second post though.

 

Yeah I agree, but even things such as the quality of our domestic opposition goes against us, when it comes to making that step up in Europe.

 

You can't replicate it when it's grassroots upwards. There's a reason the Dutch national team are so good and we are so *. We do well to develop the players we do.

Look at the individuals and teams they've had over the years. They do it better than we do from the ground up. It's not an Ajax - Celtic thing.

 

This 5 year cycle is that not something lawwell spoke about when Strachan left? 2010-2015 was the first one we needed 3 out of 5 years of UCL to be viable. We got 2 years.

2015-2020 we have got UCL 2 years already so need to make it next season for the cycle to have been a success in his eyes!

 

Having dafties like Simon Ferry coaching you as opposed to Dennis Bergkamp probably makes a difference.
