No. I don't think his training regimes/staff he'd hire are up to the standard required and I don't think he's good enough to tactically change a game for the better.

The rat was a stubborn arrogant * but on the rare occassions he did change systems mid-game it usually worked. Just a more tactically aware manager than 95% of the opposition. I don't think that could be said about Lennon.

This definitely was the case in the invincible season but not after that.....his attempts to change things during a game failed on many occasions last season and this one.......opposition teams had us sussed after that first year IMHO.

    No chance.

We’ve simply moved forward as a club and he’d be a massive step backwards.

Moved forward how exactly though? He has left us in a * of a state with a huge wage bill. What happened to his “quality over quantity” how did that work out? We have a full defence to replace which he had nearly 3 years to sort out. Aye we’ve got a new pitch and iPads with dartfish on them. Oh and Congerton is still here anaw! :giggle1:

You’re saying that as if I want Rodgers back here with Congerton :giggle1:

I wanted Rodgers punted, I thought we were stagnating badly and going backwards by the time he left because it was obvious he hasn’t wanted to be here since last summer. But that doesn’t mean he hasn’t took us forward as a club.

Look how much money we’ve got and how much we’re spending.
Our profile is on another level compared to where we were before he came in.
3/4 years ago there’s no chance we’d have been able to attract someone like Moussa Dembele.
We’ve made massive changes to the medical department, sport science department, nutrition.
He took Deila’s team and made them the most dominant team in Scottish football history.
What we need to do it look to continue to improve in every department and get rid of the people like Congerton who aren’t cutting it.

Lennon is old school. His idea of motivating players is shouting at them. If he tries what he done with Kamberi to say Edouard they’ll tell him to get to * and it’ll end in a disaster.

We’re absolute miles above everyone else in Scotland. We should be getting a manager who’s a modern coach who’ll make the players concentrate on the football instead of * like ‘battles’ and ‘dig’.

The fact we have so many players out of contract, a team needing a rebuild and an unprecedented amount of money in the bank is an even bigger reason for getting a top manager.

Aye but it was with Deila’s team what exactly did he add personnel wise, he bloated the squad tae * and wanted to * all sorts on McKenna. Lennon got us to the group stages and the Champions League money but that isn’t being used to support him getting the job. Aye Rodgers was untouchable domestically but it was embarrassing in Europe a lot of the time.

Which is why the manager shouldn’t be given complete control of the football side of things.

We should go and try get the best we can in every department.

    Scouting
    Recruitment
    Coaching
    Youth development
    Medical

Going back to the likes of Lennon, Parker and John Park tells me we’re aiming for just winning the league.

Fair enough mate, I want us to progress in Europe but I want the 10 first and foremost.

I don’t see why some people see them as mutually exclusive.

If we’re progressing in Europe then we’re going to be too good to be caught domestically.
