Oliver Burke has revealed he'd jump at the chance to stay at Celtic beyond the end of the season.

But the on-loan West Brom striker admits the decision may be taken out of his hands.

Burke joined the Hoops in January on a short-term deal in a bid to reignite his career and has netted four goals.

The 21-year-old knows he's reached an where first-team football is vital, having spent the past few seasons on the fringes at RB Leipzig, Nottingham Forest and now at the Hawthorns.

He was emphatic when asked if he'd like to remain at Celtic but stressed his future was very much up in the air heading towards the end of the campaign.

He told Ladbrokes: "If it was down to myself, I'd * it right up.

I think it's an amazing club, I'm very happy here and enjoying my football - so why wouldn't I want to stay here?

"But right now it's totally out of my hands. We just have to wait and see come the end of the season."

Burke's situation is complicated by both his parent and loan clubs being without a permanent manager.

Neil Lennon is Hoop's interim boss following the departure of the man who brought Burke to Celtic, Brendan Rodgers, while West Brom recently sacked Darren Moore.

James Shan has been installed as caretaker but the club are set for more upheaval come the summer.

Burke added: "Right now I'm just focusing on playing here at Celtic, getting games and playing as much as I can.

"At the moment it's out of my hands as I'm a West Brom player. They own me, but hopefully I can speak with my agent and get something sorted, something like this (Celtic).

"Nothing's quite done and dusted yet so I'll finish out the season here and see what happens.

"It depends on West Brom and how they feel towards me, we'll see how it goes. Right now they don't have a manager.

Maybe another manager will come in and have a look at me, I don't know.

"But it's one of these things in football where you have to go along with it."

Big man isn’t a striker in a month of Sunday’s. Can’t play back to goal, bad first touch and couldn’t finish his dinner. celtic are trying to mould him but you can’t teach a strikers instinct.

Correct. He just isn’t a striker. Would be better out on the wing running at people cutting in from the left.

He’s awful. He’s electric but he’s touch and everything else is miles below the required standard.

Genuinely find it mental people would happily spend £5m plus on him.

His touch isn't good enough for us to be keeping next season, even on loan. I love his attitude though If he was on * all wages and hadn't been recently signed for a ridiculous fee he would be worth it, but you couldn't justify it. I am surprised he can get his boots on without knocking them ten yards.

Would go to £10 million but not a penny more. Has potential.

His physical attributes far outweigh his technical ability but he's definitely a handful to play against. Wouldn't be breaking our transfer record for him though.

Just not worth anywhere to close to what West Brom would demand.

Said it before, but he’s an athlete. That’s what’s got him this far in football. His actual ability on the ball is so limited.

Tried to take a touch and it bounced off his knee. Hit it over with an open goal. Took a touch in the box and hit it 10 yard's wide..

    Sorry but

Should be moved to the right and Weah up top second half..

Bayo or Aitchison in up top if Lenny wants to understandably keep Edouard for the semi..

Has frightening pace, but seems like Bambi on ice to be fair, we won’t be paying the money the WBA want for him.

Glad he will be going back would rather we give young Dembele some game time next season rather than loan someone like him again.
