I Think, he was afraid that he couldn't take the team forward any more. We all saw it in the last games. And take the Money while it is hot.

Problem with Rodgers is that he showed his character banging the receptionist at Liverpool and then divorcing his wife. If someone is ok with doing that at a personal level then expect the same professionally.

The question you have to ask, did we have a good time while he was at Celtic?
He was the first manager to do a lot of things with Celtic and Scottish football. I can't help but think there is something going on in the background that resulted in his speedy departure.

Yes. We had a good time when he was here.

But with hindsight (an I was one of the ones sticking up for him only last week), the blokes a rat.

But with the money he was given (I've only just got my head around it), he's a spoilt wee * that wants everything his own way. In his head there is nothing more important to him than himself.

I agree with you that there probably was something in the background that hastened his speedy departure. However, it was probably more to do with his inflated ego than anything else.

Also I do have to disagree with your comments regarding him being"the first manager to do a lot of things with Celtic an Scottish football".

    Jock Stein.

He won't emulate Stein. I don't think they'will be many that will if any. I suppose we should also take into consideration that there was no real competition either.

He is definitely a money grabbing spoilt brat. He has shown his true colours, if he * up at LCFC his reputation will be in tatters again. I always say, when you have something good then stick with it.... He has a different view on life obviously. He will eventually get sacked from Leicester and when he does there's no reputation to fix.

One bad experience will tarnish all the good experiences. Not defending him, but he wasn't the worst manager at Celtic. He should have left on better terms.

I think the vast majority would acknowledge he’s a very good coach, if not a great person.

Dream job, never been happier, loves his life in Glasgow, Celtic supporter, still young & hopes to be managing another 20 years, happiness trumps money etc etc

All his words and sentiments and if you can find that kind of harmony in your life you dont give it up easily. He talks about removing the emotion. What the emotion of being in your dream job, loving your life, never being happier & getting paid handsomely. Who in their right mind gives all that up so easily. In making the decision to leave he did did not remove the emotion, he removed everything else and left the emotion in!

The lure of the EPL, wanting to prove yourself to your peers in the 'big league', satisfying an ego trip, leaving job security and admiration behind for uncertainty. These are all emotional motivations, if he was thinking with clarity without emotion then he would have stayed put.

Unless of course he was lying through his teeth to start with and money alone is his sole motivation but if he genuinely gave all that up in a moment of madness in the thought he was moving on to better things then he'll soon realise, if he hasnt already he was very wrong and in losing what he claimed to have with us, well that is a high price to pay and in that case I kind of pity him.
