If Rogers couldn't stay until the end of the season - Why didn't Rogers stay until after the Hearts game and say goodbye to the fans? If he couldn't do that - Why didn't Rogers come back and do one last news conference as a Celtic manager at Celtic Park to thank the fans? If he couldn't do that - why didn't Rogers not do a private interview thanking the fans for their amazing backing during his time?
Surely whatever the reasons were; its wasn't the fans fault!

Because he lacks class. We were all fooled into thinking the guy had class. He has to be the consummate actor and we were taken in by his smarm and smooth talk. He's shown his true colours. No it doesn't detract from the success he brought but I'm not sure the success is what he will be remembered for. Lenny will go on to do the ten and Brendan will just become a footnote in much the same way RD although RD will be remembered as a good guy who had the club at heart.

Even Claudio Ranieri went back the next day to say goodbye to his team. Brendan may be a rising talent but he will never have the class of that man.

Well said, i loved Brendan but like all off us i bought into his guff, everyone would have wished him well in the summer if he went but going out the back door like a thief in the night shows him to be a coward with no dignity and respect for the fans, i defended this man when the scousers were slagging him saying he wll be found out..............Brendan King Rat hope ur happy in King power stadium

Still hard to believe, he jumped ship first middling offer came in for him.
Thank * we have Lenny back in to make sure Celtic continue to be the dominate force in Scotish football.
Was just thinking though, do you think Stevie G might regret signing up for the huns now?
I know we all hate him, but surely with all the crap he's had to apologise for coming from their scummy fanbase, he might feel Stepping in with us when Brendan jumped ship, would have been a better career move.

Aye. Didn't really want to say this whilst he was our manager, but Lennon totally * schooled him on I would say 4 out of their 7 meetings. Clarke has him on the ropes in all three games at Rugby Park (we were so fortunate to win there last time). Also got 2 draws at Parkhead too

Rodgers has also struggled on occasions against the likes of Levein, Gerrard, and even * Oran Kearney when we last went to St Mirren.

He may be degrading the league, but he was hardly as flawless as some make out.

Lennon has always had the better of him if you take the Liverpool friendly into account

he tried to be too clever a lot of games too , formations and he made 6 changes going to tynecastle and easter rd games like that our hardest trips ,and thought we could just turn up and just win. nobody is arguing with his overall record but when you consider europe too he's not as good a manager as he thinks he is.

Spot on. A lot of what I just said and what we all are saying will just come across as bitter to those who don't support Celtic. But honestly, him leaving in the manner he did has just opened so many of our eyes.

Quite simply followed him like the Pied Piper and he led us into a river. *

The Road to the King Power.

Read Brendan Rodgers new book, in which he describes how he laid his life on the line for Leicester City and how his dream job became a reality, how he was born into the 7 mil a year job with the EPL club that he supported as a boy.

Available now at all good book shops, all proceeds will go to the Brendan Rodgers Up My Own * foundation.

    Aye it is prof.

As you will know I have said since December the way he was speaking he was off in the summer and even if we didn’t win a treble as long as we won the league he would have been carried down the Celtic way with everyone’s wishes it’s just the timing and the more you hear about how he didn’t even have the decency to contact the players makes me even more angry!
