Yeah that was a disgrace as well especially after all the success he brought us and signing Fletcher would have no doubt won us the league.

We'd have been on 13 in a row by now if it wasn't for those penny pinching *.

So the Celtic fan who hasn’t been happier in his personal and professional life has asked to leave the club of his dreams to a place where he has said 5 bad results and you are gone.

He has left a job where he was as secure as he could have been to go to a job who have sacked their league winning manager who took them to the last 16 of UCL and then sacked a manager in Puel who has led them during a * of a season off the field!

Best of luck Brendan - soured your legacy son!

Lenny started the 10 and he will finish the 10.

Sky will have an unemployed BR in the punditry box when Lennon lifts that SPFL trophy aloft creating a monumental piece of history. Scenes.

I think the club now releasing a statement is just confirmation of what we dreaded.

It’s hard to know what to say about this, how can we disrespect a guy that’s done so much for us yet has done something so snidey at the same time

Like others I will just digest all this before commenting further but at the moment there’s a very bad taste in my mouth about Rodgers

Lennon would be a big backwards step in my opinion, yes he can get the team fired up but we were inconsistent as * under him and he never got close to a treble. I want a manager in similar ilk of Rodgers, he has that pull to bring to in some top young players.

Anyway its still not done, he wont be gone until the summer at least anyway if he goes to Leicester.

Absolutely devastated by this. Our board are a * shambles. Seem it coming at the end of the season with how he wasn't backed in the summer and pretty much given short term fixes in January. But to see him go now is a big blow. * the board!!!!! They may well have kissed goodbye to 10IAR

And where are they in europe now eh?.

look at how much they have spent and where they are now, we can not ever afford to do that under any manager unless there is some radical change in the money that comes into scottish football

    • Celtic Football Club Statement - Brendan Rodgers
By: Newsroom Staff on 26 Feb, 2019 10:00

    • CELTIC Football Club today confirmed that it has been approached by Leicester City FC to speak to Brendan Rodgers with regards to their current managerial vacancy.

Brendan has indicated to the Club that this is an opportunity he wishes to investigate further and therefore, very reluctantly, the Club has granted him permission to speak to Leicester City.

The only thing that can make today worse is if Sam Allardyce is spotted in a taxi driving eastwards along the London Road

Pretty much spot on, the financial gap has grown wider between the rich leagues and not so rich leagues, UEFA are making more of an effort to keep the clubs from smaller leagues out the CL with a ridiculous amount of qualifiers, I honestly believe they would have a CL with only teams from England, Spain, Italy, France and Germany if they could get away with it and dump everyone else into the Europa League and their proposed third UEFA competition coming in a few years. It's a hugely changed environment since the MON and WGS days.
