A tie against Krasnodar would’ve been easier than Salzburg, Leipzig and Valenica to be fair. A bit of luck in the draw and you can go far in this competition potentially.

Aye. But like I said last night, you’ve got to face the big boys eventually. Just means a few more million in prize money I suppose.

After last nights performance, energy and mindset there is actually real hope of big improvements in Europe in the next couple of seasons.

Always sad when Europe is done for the season, but think we turned a corner last night.
Seeing a scottish club play actual football against European sides has been a long time coming. Brendan has the right of it. We cant just shut up shop and try nick it.

Better to have tried to play football and lose, than never to have tried at all. although you can still be organised and carry a threat.. fine margins.

If only we didn't balls up the first leg.

The sending off was harsh as well.

away grown up performances like the other night are rare

the players all standing up puffing their chests out and working hard

is it solely because we arent used to playing this standard of opposition ?

is it possible we can regularly up our performances to this level against european teams from the big leagues or is this a result of the stinging criticism of the 1st leg performance and pride coming in to play ?

Didn’t see any issues in Benidorm carnival atmosphere.

    * who torched the flags of golden last was silly but every other bar with a gun nature closed or took everything in.

@We named the dog Indiana you see anything untoward!

It can be the difference between the last 32 and last 16. Of course it makes a difference.

Aye, as you saw in that other post I mentioned the prize money which is big for us. Just meant if you want to win the thing, the big teams will have to be beaten eventually.

I just want to go as far as we possibly can, which is why you would want a favourable draw.

Take Marseille’s route to the finals last year.

Bilbao, Leipzig, Salzburg. On evidence this year, Salzburg would knock us out but I also don’t think it’s an impossible task.
